2 Highlights In the book of Ephesians the word church refers to the body of Christ. The mystery that Paul teaches in Ephesians is about the unity of the church. The body of Christ has a head which is Jesus. Ephesians 4:17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, Ephesians 4:18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; o Ignorance alienates and blinds us from the light of God. o Light is significant with the knowledge of God o When you have the key to something we have the knowledge. Therefore man is dichotomous, body and soul. Soul and spirit are mentioned interchangeably in the bible. In 1 Corinthians 5:8, the spirit has left, the spirit goes nowhere without the soul. When Christ died on the cross to save your soul, did the spirit get left? When you are born again you get changed spiritually. The spirit controls the body; the devil has no control unless we give ourselves to him.

5 Ephesians 4:24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. o You can t put on Christ or the amour of God by yourself. Do circumstances dictate if a lie is necessary? If you are in a life threating situation, this question is directed to Christians not the unsaved world, a saved person wouldn t put you in this position. The purpose is to remedy challenging situations within the church.
