You have brought us together as newcomers and familiar members. We give you thanks for this church, for this community of faith where we are welcomed and can make new friends; where we can worship and learn more about you; and we can discover ways to reach out and help others. JOYS AND CONCERNS OF THE CHURCH CENTERING PRELUDE This is the Day Sunday School Choir (Congregation Standing) Why have we gathered here this day? To worship our God. The maker of heaven and earth, of sun and moon, of wind and sky. And how shall we worship God? With songs and prayers, with open hearts to listen to God s word, and with willing spirits to go forth in loving service. All: Come! Let us worship God! PENITENCE Forgive us, O God, when we think we have all of the answers. Open our hearts to listen to you. Forgive us, O God, when we laugh at the questions of others and make them feel foolish for asking. Open our hearts to listen to you. Forgive us, O God, when we get impatient and insist on having answers right this minute to questions that are as big as life itself.

Amen think those things that matter most in our lives. God invites our questions, our wondering, and even our doubts. God invites us into a new relationship of openness. Show them all the beauty they possess inside. Give them a sense of pride, to make it easier; Let the children's laughter remind us how we use to be. Everybody's searching for a hero; People need someone to look up to. I never found anyone who fulfilled my need. A lonely place to be, and so I learned to depend on me. I decided long ago never to walk in anyone's shadow. If I fail, if I succeed. At least I lived as I believe. No matter what they take from me, They can't take away my dignity. Because the greatest love of all is happening to me. I found the greatest love of all inside of me. The greatest love of all is easy to achieve. Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all. PAUL S If you are visiting and would like to know more about St. Paul s please fill out the visitor s card located in the pew rack and place it in the offering plate. One of our pastors will contact you. There are assisted listening devices for the hearing impaired available at the sound board in the rear of the church. Adult Sunday school is held at 9 a.m. - Generations Class in the Lounge off the Narthex. Also, Adult Bible Study is held Wednesday mornings. See Announcement sheets in the bulletin for details. Bible Study is held on Wednesday s at 10:00 a.m. in the Lounge Children are always welcome in our worship space (as are the joyful noises that they sometimes add). For those moments when it might be needed, we do have a nursery room in the rear of the church that anyone with younger children is welcome to use. The room is equipped with a speaker that will allow you to continue enjoying the service. Please ask an usher if you need any assistance.
