By the end of January, many times our hopes collapse around us. We are lucky if we even remember what our New Year's resolution was. Pray with us, that we will make resolutions that line up with God s direction, not our own. May 2017 be the year that we allow God to use us in mighty ways! For with God nothing shall be impossible. Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? This is a monthly publication produced by LCM. 3 Volume 14, Iss ue 1 Page 3 Annual Homeless Service Day and Veterans Stand Down will be held on Saturday January 21, :45AM City of Palms Park at 2201 Edison Ave. Fort Myers, Florida Come and serve with Love And Compassion Ministries as we provide: Bibles, drinks, clothing, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, socks and so much more. Every year we participate with many wonderful ministries at this event to help the less fortunate. If you would like to donate items contact the office. We need all of the above items! We will be serving around 900 homeless people! WITH CHRIST, WE HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE LIVES! 4 Volume 14, Iss ue 1 Page 4 Homeless Ministry Street Watch On January 7, 2017 Dave and Frani Strever along with many wonderful volunteers, will be serving the homeless a meal, providing hygiene packs and most importantly giving out Bibles. Pastor Raymond will be giving another inspiring message of hope and love of our God! Join us at: Clemente Park Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Ford Street 2:00 PM - Saturday January 7, 2017 Call if you wish to join this Godly team, donate items or provide monetary support. Homeless Ministry I n His Service Come enjoy an afternoon meal and volunteer with Nick T rosterud and his wife J ackie at the Suncoast Community Center. T his area is in much need of the Lord and your prayers. We deliver a Biblical message, give out Bibles, provide homeless supplies and help meet people s needs. Our goal is to lead as many homeless and veterans to our Lord s saving grace. If you would like to volunteer serving with this ministry or would like to sponsor the lunch, please call us! T hank you! 5 Volume 14, Iss ue 1 Page 5 Bread Ministry Twice a week for several years now, Publix Grocery Store has provided Love And Compassion Ministries hundreds of wonderful bakery items from homemade bread to wedding cakes. We are so thankful for their willingness to provide such items to the needy. This ministry delivers bread to three churches every week. Rev. William Stewart with a team of volunteers makes this ministry what it is. We are so proud to help serve this community through Publix. May God bless Publix, all that serve within this ministry and all the people that partake from the items. This is a ministry that is so needed. If you would like to participate or donate to this cause, please contact us: LOVE (5683) Jail and Prison Ministry Florida DOC Work Camp Lee County CPU s Charlotte Correctional Institutional Lee County Stockade Seeing the same people returning to the prison system time and time again will break your heart. Pastor Jim Holbrook, Mark Decker and Nick Trosterud have been ministering to men at the Lee County Stockade, Lee County CPU s, Charlotte Correctional Institutional and Florida DOC Work Camp for years. We appreciate their weekly service for the Kingdom! May God bless them!

CAPE COMMUNITY THRIFT STORE (1056 PINE ISLAND RD) A Great Big Heart Felt Thank You Goes Out To: The Lost Riders, Michael Mazzoli, Jason Bhimji and BIG 10 Tavern! Michael Mazzoli and the Lost Riders along with Jason Bhimji of Big 10 Tavern supplied: 30 Thanksgiving dinners and 100 Christmas dinners to local families and to the Foster boys at AMI youth camp! 7 Volume 14, Iss ue 1 Page 7 January 2, 2017 Dear Friends, I wanted to personally thank everyone that has supported this ministry over the years, for it takes a seed to start and years of growth to establish a strong root that can withstand a tough storm. This year has been a year of transformation, including the changeover in leadership, which could have impacted the ministry like a storm if it weren t for our faithful supporters. I really want to show my appreciation to those that have continued to support us during the transition of leadership, from Ron Willis to myself. This has been a very challenging position to step into. Ron has taught me many things and affirmed me that I can t continue to run the ministry the same way. I need to make crucial ministry and business decisions necessary for growing the ministry, in order for LCM to function at a higher level. God is leading, and as He does, I am getting more resistance. I am asking for your support and prayers, while we build a stronger ministry together. I am confident for great things to come in 2017 and in the work the Lord has established for us here, at LCM. I also wanted to thank all of our volunteers that make this ministry the hands and feet of Christ. Many of you give your time, treasure, talent or a mix of the three to be the body of Christ. What we do with our time, talents and financial offerings is building many treasures in Heaven. Your time is valuable and I really appreciate all of you! Several individuals have poured into this ministry on a monthly, weekly and even daily basis. We ask our readers to pray for our volunteers and our volunteers to pray for our readers. I ask all of you to pray for our prayer team that continues to break down strong holds placed on people. Please be in prayer for our government and our new president elect. We all have to work together toward the good for all. Let us not forget, God is in control and we are to abide by the Word.
