4 SINGING AUDITIONS: Duet: When Christmas Comes to Town BOY: I m wishing on a star and trying to believe that, even though it s far, he ll find me Christmas Eve. I guess that Santa s busy cause he s never come around. I think of him when Christmas comes to town. GIRL: The best time of the year when everyone comes home; with all this Christmas cheer it s hard to be alone. Putting up the Christmas tree with friends who come around, it s so much fun when Christmas comes to town. GIRL: Presents for the children wrapped in red and green. BOY: All the things I ve heard about but never really seen. BOTH: No one will be sleeping on the night of Christmas Eve, hoping Santa s on his way. Girl: When Santa s sleigh bells ring, Boy: I listen all around. Girl: The herald angels sing. Girl: And all the dreams of children, Boy: I never hear a sound. Boy: once lost will all be found. BOTH: That s all I want when Christmas comes to town. It s the Spirit of the Season Verse 1 People smile as they pass you by; The day will be here soon. Dreams are dancing in the children s eyes. Hearts are singing, bells are ringing, too. verse 2 Snow is falling as you rush downtown, The city seems to glow. Laughter mixes with the happy sounds. Hearts are singing, bells are ringing, too.
5 Believe Verse 1: Children, sleeping. Snow is softly falling. Dreams are calling, Like bells in the distance. We were dreamers, Not so long ago. But one by one, we All had to grow up. When it seems the magic slipped away... We find it all again on Christmas Day. Verse 2: Trains move quickly To their journey's end. Destinations... Are where we begin again. Ships go sailing, Far across the sea. Trusting starlight, To get where they need to be. When it seems that we have lost our way... We find ourselves again on Christmas Day.
