I am now in my 6th year as pastor of St Augustine and St Mary, and my personnel review is ongoing. Until November 7th there is a survey available on our parish website for you to take part in this personnel review. I will meet with Ms. Leigh Stringfellow, Director of Priests Services for the Archdiocese, to go over the results and set goals. CDA will be holding its annual Warm Coat Drive from November 10 to December 31. Please drop off your extra coats at St Augustine. There will be boxes in the vestibule and in the parish hall marked CDA Coat Drive. Coats donated will be given away to Ryan s House, Garage of Blessings, The Haven, or St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington, WA The CDA will have a CHEESE BALLS & CRACKERS SALE on November 10 & 11 after all Masses. They will be taking orders on homemade cheese balls (to be delivered on the first week of December). Samples will be available in the vestibule. The Parish Health Ministry is starting a friendly phone call reassurance service for our Parish Community - both active & inactive. We are looking for volunteers and names of individuals who might like to receive a call to break the monotony of their days. Prayer Garden Brick Orders We need 10 more brick orders to fulfill our next order for the Prayer Garden. Bricks are $200 and $400. Order forms are available at the parish office. Learn or Refresh Your AED/CPR skills November 11, in the Parish Hall after the 9:30 am Mass All parishioners are encouraged to learn to use the AED equipment to help one another in an emergency. We are fortunate to have an EMT as our instructor. Please call the office if you plan to attend so he knows how many practice bodies to bring. An informational seminar to address your needs will be held at the Oak Harbor Senior Center, 51 Jerome Street, on Friday NOVEMBER 9 at 11:00 am. This seminar and others will be presented by the Statewide Health Insurance Benefit Advisors (SHIBA) and will cover the 2019 changes, basic benefits, and help you with the process of deciding which is the best option for you in If you would like help in finding a drug plan bring a detailed list (including dosage) of your medications.
