2 Welcome Snowbirds & Seagulls! Snowbirds & Seagulls ministry is a weekly program that continues through the end of March. This ministry is geared for the local and snowbird seniors. The weekly programs are held on Thursday mornings. The study will meet for 6 weeks beginning March 14 through April 18, Thursdays at 10:30 AM in the M.D. Moore Classroom in the Wesley Building, main campus. Come join as we journey together through the Lenten season, preparing our hearts to continue onward toward Easter people. FUMC Centennial Moments for March: FUMC Archive Room In 1985, upon completion of the church building expansion, Helen Hussey Parler received permission to relocate the Library from the Asbury Building into the two offices (no longer used) to create an Archives Room. The new room was painted, furnished, and decorated by the Hussey families and Helen s committee. Horry County often has the largest number of reported domestic violence cases per year of any other county in South Carolina. BUT Horry County does not currently have a shelter or a safe house for victims of domestic abuse. How can you help? Come to the Annual Spring Surge Event to hear Kim Parsons speak about the Family Justice Center how it brings hope to victims of domestic violence and efforts being made to build a safe house here in Horry County. Also, hear an inspirational message from our former pastor, Reverend Scarlett Tanner Hester.
