As a tribute, think about providing altar flowers. Also, altar flowers can be dedicated in the remembrance of a special loved one. The flowers are delivered to the church at no cost. If interested, please call or The Bereavement Committee is collecting angels to be used on the tables when we serve a bereavement luncheon. If you have any angles that you would be willing to donate please bring them to church and give to Patricia Conner. We would like to have an assortment of angels that can be housed at church so they don t have to be transported from home to church and back. Angels may be glass, plastic, wood or other materials. The families of the bereaved have commented favorably on this addition. Thank you very much. Your kind words and care helped to ease our pain over the loss of our loved one. We are so grateful and Alene will always be with you in your good service. The last Sunday of the month we have a pot luck luncheon following worship with birthday cake. Everyone is welcome. Restrooms, water fountain & nursery are located in the back of the Fellowship Hall. A changing area for babies is located in the restroom in the nursery. Devices for the hearing impaired are available in the box located in the Narthex. Please ask one of the ushers for assistance if needed. Sign-up sheets for name tags or to give altar flowers in memory of in honor of someone are located in the fellowship hall. Upper Room devotionals are available for your personal reading. They are located at the information table going into the Fellowship Hall. Donations accepted but not expected. Thursdays are Rev. MOVIE MONDAY, July 3 at South Hill Cinema at 1:30pm THE MISSION CREW will be cleaning our adopted highway on Wed. July 5th. Meet at church at 9 AM and work until 11 AM. Most fun you can ever have picking up trash! THE ANNUAL CHURCH PICNIC is scheduled for July 15th at the Twin Oaks Shores pavilion. We will gather at 9 a.m. to get set up, and we need some help! Lunch will be served around noon. There will be yummy hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks all provided by our Church. Of course, all the wonderful sides are counted on to be brought by YOU. Join us for a wonderful day of fun and fellowship at the lake. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL is scheduled for July 29. Bring your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren!! 5 HARVEST CRAFT FESTIVAL - September 30 (SAVE THE DATE) Prospect s annual Fall Festival will transition to be Prospect s Harvest Craft & Vendor Festival. It will take place on the last Saturday in September. More details to come. The team is sponsoring the WALKING CHALLENGE here at Prospect. One million miles and ten tons is the logo. We walk as much as we can for an hour. Two thousand steps is one mile. The walking area will be checked out before the first day of walking. The Church will be open on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. We have signup sheets and calendars to mark your hard work. We do have pedometers to use. If you cannot walk at Church, you may do your walking at another place and time but just remember to keep up your calendar as we are asked to turn them in at the end of the challenge. The program is to go from June to September but we are getting a late start and can continue to walk all the year. However we do need to turn our papers in to the BHA. Anyone can participate, it does not matter if you are from another county or State.
