B Advent 1 As we keep awake for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us offer prayers to God who stirs up strength and comes to help us. For the peace of the world, and for our unity in Christ. For N our bishop and all bishops, for the presbyters, for the deacons and all who minister in Christ, and for all the holy people of God. For the church throughout the world and the faithful in every place. For the leaders of the nations and all in authority. For justice, peace, and freedom among peoples of the earth. For travelers, for the sick and the suffering, for the hungry and the oppressed, and for those in prison. For our deliverance from all affliction, strife, and need. Joining our voices with the Blessed Virgin Mary and with all the saints and angels of God, let us offer ourselves and one another to the living God through Christ. To you, O Lord. O King of all the nations, only joy of every heart, keystone of the mighty arch who makes us one, come and save the creature you fashioned from clay. Glory to you for ever. Amen.
B Advent 2 As we prepare for Jesus to come among us, let us offer prayers to God who feeds his flock like a shepherd. O Key of David, scepter of the house of Israel, who opens and none can shut, who shuts and none can open, come and free the captives from prison, who sit in darkness and the shadow of death. Glory to you for ever. Amen.
B Advent 3 As we wait with joy for Jesus Christ, the one who is to come, let us offer prayers to God who sent his Son as the true light into the world. Joining our voices with the Blessed Virgin Mary, John the Baptist, and all the saints and angels of God, let us offer ourselves and one another to the living God through Christ. To you, O Lord. O Emmanuel, our king and lawgiver, desire of all nations and Savior of all peoples, come and save us, O Lord our God. Glory to you for ever. Amen.
B Advent 4 As we wait with pregnant expectation for the coming of Jesus, let us offer prayers to God who sends his Son in the womb of a virgin. O Wisdom, breath from the mouth of God most high, who reigns from one end of the earth to the other, and governs all creation with strong and tender care, come and teach us the way of wisdom. Glory to you for ever. Amen.
B 1 Epiphany: The Baptism of Our Lord As we celebrate the baptism of Christ, let us offer prayers to God who calls us to a baptism of repentance. By the baptism of the Son of God in the river Jordan. For N our bishop and the presbyters, for the deacons and all who minister in Christ, and for all the holy people of God. For NN our catechumen(s) and for their families and sponsors. For all who seek Christ, and for the conversion of the whole human race. For mercy, peace, and justice throughout the world For all those in danger and need: the sick and the suffering, the hungry and the oppressed, and those in prison. For our deliverance from all affliction, strife, and need. God, who breathed across the waters of creation, accept the prayers we offer on this joyful feast, and lead us by your Spirit from darkness into light; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
B Epiphany 2 / Ordinary Time 2 Jesus calls on us to follow him. Let us call on Jesus for the needs, concerns, and hopes of all peoples. For the church of Jesus Christ in every place. For N our bishop, for presbyters, deacons, and all who minister in Christ. For this holy gathering and for all who are called to follow Jesus. For this country, for all nations and their leaders, and for those who guard the peace. For all those in danger and need: the sick and the suffering, prisoners, captives, and their families, the hungry, homeless, and oppressed. For ourselves, our families, and those we love. God of mystery, lover of men and women, hear the prayers of your people and keep us ready always to serve as prophets and apostles of your kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
B Epiphany 3 / Ordinary Time 3 The kingdom of God is near at hand. Let us earnestly call on God for the needs, concerns, and hopes of all peoples. God of infinite mercy, hear the prayers of your people and stir up our souls with longing to embrace your gospel; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
B Epiphany 4 / Ordinary Time 4 In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, let us pray for all who need the cleansing power of the Holy One of God. For the church and all who teach the truth of God. For prophets in every land who rebuke the spirits of greed and violence, oppression and despair. For those burdened by anguish or illness, and for those who care for them with love and healing. For married couples and all companions growing together in selfless love. For catechumens experiencing the liberation of the spirit. For the dead in the presence of God s holy power. For ourselves and all those we love. God our Teacher, speaking with holy authority, liberating us from the forces of evil, hear the prayers we offer this day and give us courage as we proclaim your truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
B Epiphany 5 / Ordinary Time 5 Let us pray to the God of compassion who heals the broken and binds up their wounds. For the church throughout the world and for all who proclaim the message of God s healing love. For the leaders of the world and for all who promote human dignity. For the sick in body, mind, or spirit and for all who assist them with hands of healing. For those burdened by anxious days and sleepless nights. For those whose labor is hard and whose wages are inadequate. For those who have passed through suffering and death and for the dawn of eternal life in God s presence. God, who cures the sick and raises the dead to life, hear our fervent prayers and enable us to proclaim your gospel; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
B Epiphany 6 / Proper 1 / Ordinary Time 6 Let us pray for all peoples in the church and the world who need mercy, justice, and peace. For the church of God, and for all who witness to the glory of God. For this world and for the sharing of health and healing. For those stigmatized as unclean, and for those who touch and heal them. For all who practice the medical arts, and for physicians of the spirit. For all who are sick and in need of prayer, and for the dying and the dead. God, who sends us to wash in the river of healing, hear the prayers we offer you this day and enable us to proclaim your good news and spread the word of your salvation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
B Epiphany 7 / Proper 2 / Ordinary Time 7 Let us offer prayers to our God, who gives us water in the desert and blots out our transgressions. For the church of Jesus Christ following the way in the wilderness. For a blossoming of peace among all nations and peoples. For those burdened by their sins or wearied by the iniquity of others. For those with physical handicaps and those who care for them. For all who are sick or homebound, and for the dying and the dead. For our parish community and for those who are alienated from the church. Loving God, ever faithful to your people, hear the prayers we offer you this day and forgive us our sins, that we may declare your praise; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
B Epiphany 8 / Proper 3 / Ordinary Time 8 Let us offer prayers to the living God, whose Spirit gives life. For the people of God in every place. For all nations, their leaders and citzens, For all who are oppressed, afflicted, or in need, and for those who work for a just distribution of food. For married couples everywhere, and for all those in covenants of love. For the sick and homebound of our community, and for those who visit and care for them. For all of us gathered at the wedding banquet of the Lamb, and for those who have died. God, our Lord and bridegroom, who gives us the new wine of an everlasting marriage feast, hear the prayers we offer you this day and take us to yourself in righteousness and justice; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
B Epiphany Last Let us offer prayers to the Holy One, whose glory is a devouring fire and a mighty tempest. For the holy catholic church throughout the world, sharing the death and resurrection of Christ. For N our bishop, for presbyters and deacons and all who minister in Christ, and for all the people of God. For all the nations and peoples of the earth, and for justice, mercy, and peace. For all who are needy, desolate, forgotten, suffering, lonely, and disconsolate. For the dying and the dead, and for those who mourn. That all the world may reflect the splendor of God and all peoples share in the divinity of Christ. Blessed are you, God of light eternal. Hear our prayers for all peoples and let your glory shine upon us, that our lives may proclaim your goodness and our works give you honor; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
