Herald of Life O C T. - D E C Christ inyou O Behold the Son, the Incarnate One ne of the most amazing Truths of the Gospel is Pastor Joe McIntyre the fact that Christ is dwelling in each believer. While itís true that we are corporately Christmas is the natal day of love, the birthday of peace to the human heart. the Temple of God, itís also true that individually we are Temples as well. (See 2 Cor. Christmas is the Incarnation day. God was made flesh, and dwelt among men. It was God s visitation to Humanity. 6:16 and 1 Cor. 3:16) Kenyon reminds us of How little the mother understood what she held in her arms, and this when he says we are to be God-inside how little the men and women who stood about the mother and child in minded. The True and Living God is living the old stable back there in Nazareth, understood what it meant. inside of you! No one had ever said, My peace I leave with you. Paul became so minded of this Truth that No one had ever said, I am the way, the truth and the light. he could say, It is no longer I that live, but No one had ever said, He that has seen me has seen the Father Christ lives in me. (Gal. 2:20). He became Words like that would have been blasphemy from any other lips. Sometimes, we have to face problems that are so big that we know we are no Calvary, and thorns instead of holly formed the crown He bore. 2 Herald of Life O C T. - D E C NEWS of the Ministry W Bonnie & Jim Dofelmier e are behind on this quarter s News of the Ministry, but we do have several good reasons. We had an unusual snowfall around Thanksgiving and around Seattle it is better to stay at home than risk the hazard and more importantly the dangerous drivers who don t know how to drive during these unusual happenings. Hard to believe but none of the staff or Bonnie and I have four-wheeled drive vehicles. The ice was worse than the snow. I won t go into the other reasons, though valid they re truly not important. Our hearts are saddened by the passing away of Manfred Schmidt in October of As all of you know he is the founder of Shalom- Verlag Publishing in Germany and his publishing company is also our co-publisher in Europe. (Kenyon s Publishing Europe) He was 57 years young and is survived by his wife Sabine and two teenage sons. We are blessed that Sabine will be carrying on what Manfred started years ago. This Ministry has lost a dear friend and co-worker. He was a great publisher, pastor, husband and father. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. Another year has passed and despite the down turn in our economy our God is faithful and provided for all our needs. We do not have enough words of praise for the Christ in You (continued from page 1) some steps we can take to draw upon His wisdom: One. Spend some time in worship. You are never more in tune with God than when you worship. Two. List your cares and purposely cast them on the Lord. Surrender all your ideas and thoughts about the area you need wisdom to the Lord. Three. Ask for wisdom. James 1:5-7 Four. Receive wisdom by faith. Thank the Lord you have it now. Five. What ideas are in your heart when you are quiet? These are often inspired by Him. Six. Move ahead trusting that His wisdom will lead you at the moment of need. God can t steer a parked car. As we grow, we become more confident of His indwelling presence. We learn to yield to Him. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. (1 Jn. 4:4). Meditate on this Reality until it is a burning fire within you. Our union with Him is a growing source of power. We are one spirit with the Lord. (1 Cor. 6:17). This is a union of Life, Eternal Life. The Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is in us to empower us (Rom. 8:11). Why not take a moment and thank Him for His indwelling presence right now? Kenyon team and without their faithfulness things could have been very different. Our Lord has brought to us some new team members to help the Ministry bring the Gospel through our books to all that have a need throughout the world. We must not grow weary in fighting the good fight. God also has brought to us other distributors and bookstores from countries that we least expected. Bonnie s words of fear not have never been so true these past two years. She is a remarkable woman of faith and I m blessed in so many ways to have her as my wife and partner in the Ministry. Though Christmas may be passing, our prayers are that each team member have a blessed one and we also pray that the New Year will be prosperous for all of the Kenyon team. Our joy remains full and each (continued. from page 1) ~In Memory~ Manfred Schmidt June 4, Oct. 27, 2010 Our co-publisher and friend in Christ day is a blessed one. Jesus will be the same tomorrow as He is today. Bonnie and I continue to enjoy our two grandsons as much as possible. At my age they are more than a blessing. Again, words alone cannot express the gratitude we have for each team member. Now may the peace of God rest and abide with all of you forever. A peace the world neither knows or understands. Kenyon s will continue to spread His peace and understanding all over the world and we thank all you for helping in this quest. Jesus wants not one to perish, not one and I know the Kenyon team feels just as this Ministry does. With your help His Word will be heard through our books and many will continue to find our Lord Jesus as their Savior. God will bless and prosper each of you for blessing His name in the coming year. Behold the Son,the Incarnate One He can feel our infirmities. He knows our needs. It is He who loved us and gave Himself up for us. That Baby s hand that touched the mother so tenderly is today the pierced hand of omnipotent love. It is the hand of Him Who died for our sins. It is the hand that was nailed to the cross. It is the hand of Him who rules the universe by the word of His power. Today we love Him and crown Him as the Lord of our lives. 2

What is? W e know the difference between happiness and joy. Happiness comes from right environment, but joy is something that only a believer has. Joy is contentment of spirit. It is freedom from the sense of condemnation. It is a by-product of fellowship with the Father. 1 Cor. 1:9 God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ. That is one of the most outstanding of all the facts of the Pauline Revelation, that the God of the Universe has called us into fellowship with His Son. Fellowship means sharing. Then He has called us to share with Jesus, to be a joint-partaker with Him, to be reckoned as one with Him. That could not be unless the Father had made us acceptable in the Beloved. That could not be, unless we had become New Creations in with Jesus class. He would never call an unsaved man with that old fallen nature to become a companion fellowshipper and sharer with His Son. That proves that we, the New Creation folk, have become so like the Master that it is a joy to the Father to have us fellowship with His Son. 1 John 1:3, 4 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you also, that ye also may have fellowship with us: yea, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ: and these things we write, that our joy may be made full. The object of John s Epistles is the unveiling of our privilege of having Jesus joy, and that our joy may be overflowing. Anything that hinders our fellowship, hinders our joy. The object of fellowship is joy. John 15:11 That my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. What was Jesus Joy? Jesus joy must have been the result of what He did for man, because the Father loved man, and longed for him, but could not fellowship with him because his nature was out of harmony with the Father s. Jesus joy was that He came and procured a perfect redemption for us, and on legal grounds a new nature, so we could become partakers of the Father s nature. What Will Be Our Joy? Our joy will be that we share with Jesus. He has done His work. He is seated at the Father s right hand, but His hands are tied as far as a lost world is concerned. We become the burden-bearers, the light-bearers, we become the evangels, the soul winners, the men and women who cast out demons, who heal the sick, who feed the multitudes. We are the men and women who take Jesus place and do His work. I have found in my own life that leading men to Christ, and healing sick folk, opening blind eyes to see their privileges in Christ, has brought to me the greatest joy. Sometimes when happiness has been denied me, my spirit has been filled with triumphant joy. The power of evangelism is joy. A dead, unemotional man has very little power over an audience. It is a man who has found this unique, wonderful thing called joy, who has power over lost men. They say at once, I want the thing he has. The richer one s fellowship is, the greater will be his joy. Wouldn t it be a wonderful thing if we had this as a slogan: I am living to give Jesus joy. The object of my life is to make the Father glad and He gave His Son for me. We have such an unusual privilege. He has invited us to the Throne of Grace, where we can go and meet Him at any time we wish. He has made us righteous, so we can stand in His presence without condemnation. We come as Sons with authority to do the Master s work. We have become sharers with the Master. We have become partakers of His ministry. Neh. 8:10 The joy of the Lord is your stronghold. When I am giving the Master joy, that means letting me into his stronghold, into the fortress where I am secure from every molestation of the enemy. When His joy fills my heart, my whole being is surcharged with strength. The things I could not do ordinarily become easy now. This is the joy Jesus spoke of in John 16:22 that cannot be taken from us. Jesus shares His joy with us just as He tells us in John 17:13. No Scripture is more suggestive than this. But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves. If you have Jesus joy made full, you are living in triumph. That joy can be made full not by prayer, but by fellowshipping Him, helping Him reach lost men and women. Send for a bundle of our tract called How to Become a Christian and then pour over it until it becomes a part of your life. Then go out and begin to lead men to Christ. You will become a joy-maker, a joy-transmitter. Then hand out our tract, All Things Are Ready, and see them step out into their liberty, the weak made strong, the conquered, once more victors. That is your privilege. He is the Vine, the Branch Am I, To be one with Him, I need not try. I bear the fruit and He Bears me, What blessed Oneness, Holy Unity. I have His life and He has me. Sweet Fellowship through Eternity. 3

As He Is, So Are We The NEW LIGHT E. W. Kenyon That first Christmas was an unfinished lyric of love. It was the birthday of a new kind of love and light. It was creation beginning all over again. It was the Creator visiting His own creation. It was love let loose, set free to bless broken humanity. It was the dawning of a new day of giving. It was the dawning of a new day of loving. God had come to the earth. The mother did not know it; The manger did not know it; But God had come to the earth. In shadows in the glooming Where the flower of grief was blooming There life was given birth! Light was born in the darkness there, Love was born with that baby fair, And God and man are one. The angel sang til the heavens rang. The Incarnation s done. Love s natal day was here. With light from the manger drear. For God had come to man. Twas love and light. In man s darkest night, For God had come to man. The unheralded light had come; That light was a babe in a manger: No one believed it, so no one received it. Yet the light had come. That light was a babe in a manger. Love had arrived in the night time, And love in a manger was born; So love was found in a manger On that December morn God had come to man. He became one with us in the Incarnation. He came to our level in His earth walk. He was identified with the hunger and the need and sacrifice and hard toil of the human race in order to lift us to His own level. He became weak, was nailed to the cross, was condemned and cast off, made sin that we might become strong, justified in the Father s favor. He became sin that we might become Righteous, the Righteousness of God in Christ. He became sick with our sickness, that we might be healed by His stripes. These are facts. As He is, so are we in this world. What is He? A conqueror, so are we. He is an overcomer. So are we. He basks in the Father s presence. So do we. He has all authority. So have we in His Name. He has given us the use of His Name. He has given us the use of His ability. In whom we have our Redemption. We have it now. Satan no longer has any dominion over us. For sin shall not lord it over you. For you are not under law, but under grace. We know all this. We are familiar with the scripture that declares that we are blessed with every spiritual blessing. We know that the Word tells us we are more than conquerors. Let us act on these scriptures. Let us arise in His strength. Now is His time. His time is your time. Don t think about what you were. Think about what you are now. Forget what you have been, all the mistakes and blunders you have made. Think of what you are in Christ. You are saved. You are a New Creation created in Christ Jesus. By His stripes you are healed. You are strong. He is your very life now. He is your very strength now. He has set you free. He is your freedom. Stand fast in that freedom. Arise and take your place among the conquerors, the victors, the leaders. 4

The Word Living in Me The Word is our contact with the Father and His contact with us. When Jesus said: If ye abide in Me and My words abide in you ; and when the Spirit speaking through Paul said: Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly ; one of the master truths was being given to us. The Word living in me means that the Word is governing my conduct, governing my thinking, governing all of my actions. I have become subject to the Word. I have learned to rest in the Word in the midst of turmoil and apparent defeat knowing that I cannot be conquered, knowing that no Word from God is void of power. And that that Word is mine. It is the Father speaking to me. You remember where He said in the Psalms: Thy Word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against Thee? That sinning may be turning to other help rather than to Him, or trusting in the arm of the flesh and the senses rather than in Him. I Thess. 2:13 says: For this cause also thank we God without The Word living in me means that the Word is governing my conduct, governing my thinking, governing all of my actions. ceasing, because, when ye received the Word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the Word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. You have received it as though He stood there in your presence and spoke it to you. Don t you remember when He said to you: My strength is made perfect in your weakness? That means that His Word becomes mighty in you when you recognize your inability to face life s problems alone. His Word is working effectually in you when it governs your life; when you see the thing that you should see, when you speak to the person He would have you speak to, when you take your place as a son of God who has a perfect right to enter his Father s presence at any time, and when you know His Word. You see, the Word is what He has taught us. Thus you come to rest in the Word with quiet confidence. You remember in Joshua 1:8 where Jehovah told Joshua that he was to meditate in the Word day and night and by doing that He was going to make his way prosperous, and he was going to have good success? You have the same thing today. When you walk in the Word you recognize the Lordship of the Word in your life; you recognize that the Word is going to benefit you, will teach you how to make out in life s struggle. It is going to make you wiser than your friends or your enemies. He has made you a conquerer over all things. 5

Love,The Family Bond The bond that binds the Family together is LOVE, which flows from the New Nature that has been given them of their Father. His Nature is LOVE. They are partakers of His nature, so it is natural for them to love. Hatred is the mightiest force in the old nature, love is the mightiest force in the New Nature. By this we know who belongs to us; if one does not have this love he is not of us. Love is the badge of conduct that proves who and what we are. By this shall all men know, by our love for one another. Backsliding, or, to use the New Testament word, broken fellowship is simply ceasing to live in love to practice love, to abide in love, to put on love, to strive to keep the unity of the spirit in the bonds of love. The test of fellowship is Love of the Brethren. The glory of a family is the love of the members for each other. The strength of a family is the strength of the bond of love that binds it together. Unfortunate is that parent who does not make love of home, and family love the center of his instruction. He will reap what he has sown when the children leave the old home. Love is the greatest thing in the earth. Lonely is that life which has no lover. If we love and are loved, The glory of a family is the love of the members for each other. The strength of a family is the strength of the bond of love that binds it together. work is easy and burdens are light. Love is a joy-maker and a burden-bearer. How easy the wheels go when aided by love! How soft and tender is the voice when love is wrapped around each word. How mighty is love. It has lifted with pierced hands the dark curtains of heathen ignorance and let light and joy flow into the nations as a fresh tide of life. Above all Things Peter says, Put on love. Love the brethren fervently, or as Dr. Yoakum says, With white-heated love. There is nothing so important as this. And only the mighty Holy Spirit can shed it abroad in our hearts. Unless He abide and rule in our hearts we shall have simply human, or phileo love. If He comes in He will shed abroad the real agapa love that will endure all things and bear all things. The end of the family teaching is love; the end for which the family is is love. The reason why we are is love; if we do not love we defeat the reason for our being. Incarnation was to the end that men might love one another. His resurrection was to the end that we might love one another. The New Birth is the means by which this can become a blessed reality; by this we partake of His nature. That nature is love, so we love by nature. If we do not love we are either not in the Family or we are out of fellowship. Kenyon s Gospel Publishing P. O.
