He created us to be His children in every sense God s nature is relational. The Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He was never lonely. He always existed in loving relationship to Himself. Although God did not need a family. He desired a family. He then created the day and night, the sky, earth, sea, all kinds of plants, the sun, moon and stars, and all kinds of animals. He saw that all is good. 3 4 Camp N E H E M I A H 2007 All CrossTalkers from Nursery to Young Adults gathered in the name of our Lord during Camp Nehemiah Nehemiah taught us that the Joy God gives makes us strong, and that we can reach success only by relying on God and doing His will. He said, The youngest group spent their time learning the Book of Nehemiah They then acted it out for their parents at the campfire. In the afternoon, they hunted dried flowers, weeds, sticks and rocks which God has provided in nature, which they used instead of brushes to paint a board. We have it displaced in the classroom. Grade 3 till 8 had a Big Game where the students were explored Beit Chabab in a fun way while relying on answering correctly the questions Anna prepared in Beit Chabab. Kevin said, Anna must be extremely smart to be able to organize the game. Ms Paula and the students wrapped up the camp in the following song: The God of Heaven will give us success. During the first day, the students went on a hike to the peak of Sannine. And from there on, they continued to the Bekaa valley crossing one mountain after the other, with beautiful water ponds. They reached a point where there was a steep cliff that stopped from continuing. They had to go back. It was 7pm and soon it became dark. They got lost on the road. It was a great experience, not knowing how to go back but trusting that God is by their side, walking with them and guiding them. After many attempts, they miraculously got back on track. The camp followed next day with an expedition to the French Room with Khaled, a Bedouin they got to know whilst going astray. One can not but praise the Lord through the beautiful view and creation He has done, only for us to enjoy! On the third night, they dined with the parents after attending mass. The camp ended with a water fight. The Young Adults camped as well in Baskinta. However, on the way up, the bus broke down as Ms Sawsan (Rachel) predicted. The camp followed with Bible study meetings and meditations on questions like: What is your goal in life? What does full of life mean?... They cooperated in preparing meals and setting the table! On the second day, they hiked to Sannine and rested on top. While climbing, the view was all grey and green, however, when looking down, it appeared brown and red. How great is our Lord. He creates beauty for us to enjoy. On the third day, and just after mass, the group visited the house of one of the acquaintances and mingled with the villagers where they got sound advice about hiking some of the customs. And finally, they packed and were ready to get back home 5

Love your neighbor as you love yourself Fundraising Team The team is a group of young adults at CrossTalk who actively contribute in sharing ways to raise money and effectively implement them The CrossTeam is the sports team at CrossTalk. Students meet to enjoy their favorite sports in the Lord s presence. They learn how to play together, tolerate each other, deal with winning and losing the way the Lord taught us. This year CrossTalk trains two CrossTeams: CrossTeam FCB Senior (Football) for Grades 9, 10, 11 Meeting time is Saturdays from 14:00-15:30pm at Jesus and Mary School. CrossTeam FB Junior (Football) for Grades 4, 5, 6 & 7. Meeting time is Saturdays from 15:30-17:00 pm at Jesus and Mary School. There are many talents but there is one Spirit, the Holy Spirit Story Keepers The StoryKeepers Club meets during class. It is for grades 4 and above. The StoryKeepers write stories with good messages. At the end of the school year CrossTalk collects the stories to make a book. Good News! Club The GoodNews! Club is for Grades 4 and above. Students write prayers or poems, interview members of their families or friends, write about CrossTalk and about their lives. Some kids write articles and stories that are shared in our GOODNEWS! Cross Drama Students with talents of acting may join the new Drama Club by filling a form at CrossTalk.
