2 Warm Christian greetings to all who chose to worship together today. May the Lord accept our worship. May each of us find our burdens lighter, our hearts uplifted, and our faith enriched.

3 Holy Communion is open to all who confess Jesus as Lord and believe that Jesus is present in the Bread and Wine. If you desire gluten-free wafers, let the pastor know at the time of distribution. Glasses of white grape juice are available in each tray for those who do not wish to receive wine.

5 Immanuel Lutheran Church is collecting shoes! Shoes will be shipped to Belize and distributed by our Mission Team in June of Shoes must be solid and in good shape. Gently used and new shoes, size toddler 10 through adult 10, are needed. Closed-toe shoes preferred. Because of God s persistence we are made new again and again. Receive today the entire forgiveness of all your sins. Walk with God on your human journey, for the sake of Jesus Christ, our Lord. 29 READING MATTHEW 1:18-25 Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. Her husband Joseph, being a righteous man and unwilling to expose her to public disgrace, planned to dismiss her quietly. But just when he had resolved to do this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

All this took place to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet: Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel, which means, God is with us.
