1 From the Pastor s Desk: Greetings Tabernacle! It is my prayer that the grace, peace and mercy of the Lord be upon each of you. In just a few weeks we will prepare to enter the Resurrection Season as we celebrate the Lord's last week of ministry Pre- Calvary and Pre- Resurrection. We are excited that Pastor Lock Beachum, Jr., Pastor Sylvia Jennings and Bishop Emmitt Nevels, Sr. will bless our church family throughout the course of Holy Week as we meditate on Christ's reconciling us back to GOD through Calvary. Thank GOD that we have been reconciled. We have been reconnected. We have been restored in our relationship with GOD because of what He has done for us in Christ! Consider reconciliation the last few weeks of Lent. Consider what it means to not only be reconciled to GOD, but reconciled to others. There is so much brokenness, dismemberment, and discouragement all around us, and the question for us this season is will we be instruments of love, healing, forgiveness reconciliation. Be reconciled to GOD. During Worship Service we receive practical knowledge for our day-to-day life. In School we fortify our historical and contextual knowledge of biblical accounts. Some may site small class sizes, having books readily available, or encouragement received during the learning process. Since 2014 the CDF Summer Freedom School at Tabernacle offers each of it s student scholars all of those things in an interactive learning environment. This summer during the six week program, Student Leader Interns will set and teach a reading curriculum rooted in the understanding that every child has the ability to learn at a higher standard. By building a cooperative environment where scholar parents, staff, and volunteers work toward combating summer reading loss, the students are having fun and becoming better prepared for the next school year. If it truly does take a village, allow the CDF Freedom School at the Tab to be a city on a hill.
