Have children fold yellow construction paper in half lengthwise. Starting from the fold, cut five slits, one inch apart, leaving a one-inch border at the top and a two-inch border at the base. Have children write on the slits ways the Holy Spirit shines through them, such as love, peace, joy, kindness, and patience. Curl the paper into a lantern shape and tape the long edges together. Expression: Music Celebrate with Song Have children sing about Ordinary Time to the tune of If You re Happy. You may choose to add simple gestures or clapping. It is Ordinary Time in the Church.
