16 The Judgment Seat Of Christ WHAT DOES THE JUDGMENT RESULT IN? Negatively, loss of reward AND a sense of shame. 1 Corinthians 3:15 (NKJV) If anyone s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. 1 John 2:28 (NKJV) And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.

18 The Judgment Seat Of Christ We will also obtain a variety of crowns. 1. The Crown of LIFE this is the martyr s and sufferer s for Christ crown, and it is mentioned twice. James 1:12 (NKJV) Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Revelation 2:10 (NKJV) Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

19 The Judgment Seat Of Christ 2. The Crown of GLORY This is the Elder s or Pastor s crown, given by the Chief Shepherd when He appears. 1 Peter 5:2-4 (NKJV) Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

20 The Judgment Seat Of Christ 3. The Crown of REJOICING This is the soul winner s crown. Those brought to Jesus by us will be our crown of rejoicing at His coming. 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 (NKJV) For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy. Philippians 4:1 (NKJV) Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.

21 The Judgment Seat Of Christ 4. The Crown of RIGHTEOUSNESS This is the crown of those who love His appearing and will be given in that day i.e., the Day of His Appearing. 2 Timothy 4:8 (NKJV) Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

22 The Judgment Seat Of Christ 5. The Crown IMPERISHABLE This is the victor s crown and is for those who do not yield to their fleshly lusts; who do not permit themselves to be diverted from the Master s work by worldly amusements and pleasure.

23 The Judgment Seat Of Christ 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (NKJV) Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

24 The Judgment Seat Of Christ These crowns will be used to worship the Lord. Revelation 4:9-11 (NKJV) Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.

25 The Judgment Seat Of Christ WHEN WILL THIS JUDGMENT OCCUR? Luke 14:13-14 (NKJV) But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just. 1 Corinthians 4:5 (NKJV) Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one s praise will come from God. Revelation 22:12 (NKJV) And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

26 The Judgment Seat Of Christ Revelation 19:7-8 (NKJV) Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
