Currently, the weekly numbers we report are heavily skewed by the bi-weekly electronic deposits. Thus, we have decided to publish the monthly average at the end of the month since it will be a better indicator of actual offertory contributions and where we stand in relation to budgeted offertory projections. If you have any questions, please feel free to talk to me. - Fr. Jeremy & Finance Council TITHE: Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank. This organization's goal is to end hunger in our communities in Northwestern Ohio through distribution systems and food collections. Bishop Thomas has asked that the traditional St. Michael prayer be said more frequently in our parishes to combat intentionally the evil of the sexual abuse scandal in the Church. While we will not add this prayer to the Mass as will be the practice in some parishes, it will be included in the bulletin for a number of months for individual use. I certainly encourage all of us to pray for healing and purification in our Church - Fr. Jeremy St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. This deduction would be on a regular basis, once a month, to take the place of your weekly donation at Mass. If you are interested, there are forms in the Gathering Space, or in the parish office. 6 Catholic Student Association Event Calendar Feel At home The Catholic presence at the University of Toledo University of Toledo UNDERGRADUATE Catholic Student Association (CSA) and GRADUATE STUDENT Newman Club: Did you know that if you are a Catholic at the University of Toledo, you are automatically a member of CSA or the Newman Club? The Catholic Student Association is one of the largest co-ed organizations on the University of Toledo s campus. Associated with Corpus Christi University Parish, it serves as the Catholic student organization on campus, fostering spiritual, social and academic growth. Check online or the weekly bulletin for updates, contact information and pictures. Tuesday, November 27th, there will be Study Tables in the Carlson Library on the second floor from 9pm-11pm Wednesday, November 28th we will be making pizzas for "Pizza for the Poor" at 7pm in the CCUP Kitchen. Also on Wednesday, November 28th, if you are interested in participating in this year's Songfest, please stop into the Meeting Room from 7pm - 8pm for more information. If you are interested in SEEK2019, please visit and ask a FOCUS missionary! * Busing from HAV for Sunday 6pm Mass * If you live in HAV, be aware that UT busing picks up at 5:45 p.m. in the loading drive on the south side of HAV. It drops off around 5:50 p.m. at the transportation center across the street from Corpus Christi. After Mass, there is a 7:10 p.m. (if you don't want to stay for dinner) and a 7:40 p.m. pickup (if you want to stay for dinner) at the transportation center which will take you back to HAV. In the cold months, this is a wonderful service. All you have to do is swipe your Rocket card and the bus is free. Saturday, December 1st we will be decorating Christmas cookies, making cards, and more at 11 am in the CCUP Kitchen and Kirtland Classroom. Feel At home AT CORPUS CHRISTI UNIVERSITY PARISH we want our students to "feel at home." We want to not only be a resource for spiritual growth, worship and reflection, but also a place where you'll gather and meet great friends, have great times and gather great memories that will last a lifetime. Our community is welcoming and supportive. Our two student organizations - CSA (on Main Campus) and Newman Club (at the Health Science Campus) have many resources to support student life at the University of Toledo.
