The Diocesan policy requires a minimum one-year period of preparation. Sacrament of the Sick & Homebound Visits Please inform us when a family member is admitted to the hospital. Communion visits to the aged, sick, convalescing and homebound are a major concern to us. Please call the Rectory at to arrange these ministerial visits. 4 STEWARDSHIP/MINISTRIES St. Patrick Parish has a thriving Stewardship/Ministry Program. Check out our website to see all the great opportunities to get involved in our parish and community! The Young Neighbors In Action 2017 and Anne Haas will be collecting bottles and cans to help defray the cost of the service trip this summer. Please drop off your clean cans and bottles in the Parish Center. NAC VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, July 17-21, 9 AM -12 PM The following crafts, equipment for science experiments, and kitchen supplies are needed for the ecumenical Vacation Bible School. Forms for In-Person registration are available in the entrance of the church. Early Registration ends June 30 th, cost goes up on July 1 st.

5 Reflections: Welcome Congratulations Catholic Scouts, YNIA and Steubenville East! The summer has arrived, but that doesn t mean that the young men and women of St. Patrick s are taking it easy. Recently, Scouts from around the Worcester Diocese came together to celebrate and receive their religious medals from Bishop McManus. These boys and girls spent countless hours with their troops, friends, religious leaders, and families exploring how their faith has shaped their lives. Some of the awards earned by the scouts included the Family of God Medal which helps Girl Scouts explore how they fit into the family of God, and The Light of Chris Medal allows Cub Scouts to explore their faith and the role of the Eucharist in the world. Others Scouts also earned the Parvull Dei Medal which helped them to discover God in their daily lives, and the Ad Altare Dei Medal which focused on living by Christian principles and the importance of the sacraments. Scouts from St. Patrick s also received the honorable Pope Pius XII award, which focuses on the Gospels call to ministry. These medals represent a commitment by these scouts and their families to growing in the knowledge of God. We would also like to acknowledge the hard work of the young men who received the Eagle Scout Award this past weekend. The projects these young men pioneered focused on community enrichment and service. Congratulations to all! Speaking of service, Young Neighbors in Action will be leaving soon to work with disadvantaged communities in Tuscan, Arizona this summer. Having worked with these young men and women in the past, I can tell you they make us proud. The selfless dedication and humble service they bring to these communities truly demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. Let us keep them and their chaperones in our prayers as they continue to serve the Church throughout the United States. Beginning in July, several of our young people will also be traveling to Steubenville East at UMass Lowell. This spirit filled event seeks to strengthen all who attend with the hopes of inspiring teens and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ. Evangelistic in nature, weekend conferences such as Steubenville East are a great introduction to the Gospel message for new or younger teens, while offering deep and moving experiences of prayer and fellowship. Wow! These young men and women are truly an inspiration and we ask that you keep them and their families in your prayers. God Bless, Deacon Chris
