1 INVENTORY TO THE VASILY ALEKSANDROVICH PASHKOV PAPERS MICROFICHE 115 Southern Baptist Historical Library and Archives Nashville, Tennessee The Pashkov Papers are a collection of materials from University of Birmingham Library, Birmingham, England microfilmed for the Historical Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, Nashville, TN, USA. The collection consists of publications, manuscripts of books and articles, histories, addresses, sermons, letter books of Pashkov s correspondence, notes, correspondence from other Russian evangelicals, clippings and minutes of Christian organizations. The material relates primarily to the evangelical movement in Russia, the Stundist movement, and efforts for religious freedom in Russia. The material in the collection is primarily in Russian with some English and German documents. The documents are found on 187 microfiche sheets. Vasily Aleksandorvich Pashkov, , was a Russian evangelical leader of the Pashkovite Movement in the nineteenth century. Pashkov was a follower of Lord Radstock of England who in the 1870s began a ministry among the Russian aristocracy in St. Petersburg. Upon Radstock s departure, Pashkov assumed the leadership of the movement which took the name, "Pashkovite." Pashkovites tried to relate to other evangelicals, including the Stundists in the south of Russia. His movement later became a part of the current Union Council of Evangelical Christians-Baptists in Soviet Russia. Primarily in Russian with some items in English and German. This hand list of the Pashkov Papers is intended to be used as a basic guide to the Collection. The present handlist replaces that made by Malcolm Jones of the University of Nottingham. His original arrangement has been retained though some of the numbering has been altered and some new categories created. It has been made possible by funds from four cooperating libraries operating through the good offices of Dr Lynn E.
