This year, the Church celebrated Catechetical Sunday on September 21, 2014, and focused the theme on "Teaching About God's Gift of Forgiveness." Catechetical Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the role that each person plays, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel. Catechetical Sunday is an opportunity for all to rededicate themselves to this mission as a community of faith. The diocese celebrated Catechetical Sunday with a breakfast with Bishop Robert Munch for those Catechists who have been serving for 20 years. St. Jude was represented by six members of our community: Mary Decuir, Lanelle Drago, Lyle Hitzman, Carol Kitchen, Moc Pham and Rita Wallace; we thank them from the bottom of our hearts for their service and everyone else who serve as catechists.
