1 Area One Christchurch Primary School's Vision Statement To establish a centre of excellence by developing a Christian ethos which encourages self-evaluation and enables ALL individuals to develop fully their potential intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually, placing Christchurch school, together with the Parish Church, as a beacon of hope and light, at the heart of the local community. Peace Mala is entirely consistent with our Christian ideals. Becoming a Peace Mala School is part of the whole School Development Plan approved of by staff and the Governing Body. This is shared with the whole school community. Our school will share good practice with other schools who are members of the global community of Peace Mala.

3 Area Two Learning through acting, with our faith visitors. Reaffirming the values of HOPE and COMPASSION. Drama and storytelling take us closer to culture.

4 Appreciating the common historical links between our faiths. At the centre of our faith and collective worship VALUES!

6 Area Three Joining arms on Holocaust Memorial Day.

7 Ricky the Rights Respecting Robot the pupil s chosen champion of universal rights. Every class displays their agreed charter of rights.

8 Year 1 children proudly display the friendship bracelets and certificates they made on Anti-bullying Day The winning poster in our competition.

9 Joining the IF campaign to inform David Cameron and the Government about our views on global hunger, at the G8 summit in London.

10 Area Four Saying prayers for others in need during the Harvest Festival Service. Supporting Operation Christmas Child

11 Supporting Children in Need and having fun at the same time!

13 Learning about the importance of Fair Trade practices to support producers and their communities.

14 Area Five Wearing traditional Chinese clothing for the Chinese New Year. Celebrating Eid with demonstrations of Islamic music.

15 Cooking Challah bread and practising writing in Hebrew. First-hand insights in a Christian place of worship.

16 Exploring Welsh culture a choir in traditional costumes. We are from a variety of countries but are all the same. We sleep under the same stars.

18 The school s top Green Flag award was retained for when Christchurch Eco Warriors took part in a litter pick to help "KEEP WALES TIDY".

19 Community Links Gower College delivers an inspiring performance to promote saving our world by recycling. A workshop enabled Christchurch pupils to learn more and get involved.

20 At the Vetch garden, pupils help grow vegetables and look after animals and insects. Pupils become aware of sustainability and its importance in our world. A commitment to reducing waste.

21 Learning about our responsibilities toward animals.

22 Understanding the diets and habitats of animals.

23 Learning about wildlife through observation from afar, and up-close.

24 Area 7 Pupils took part in the Peace Mala Pilgrimage to St David s in Llangyfelach

25 Our School Councillors Our School Ambassadors visited Margam Country Park and met the Children's Commissioner for Wales, Keith Towler.

26 Year 1 children look at the poppies and ask 'What are the flags for?' in Christ Church. Silence in the Square, Swansea. Year 5 & 6 children joined others in a mark of respect for those who fought for peace.
