1 I am a child of God John 1:12Amplified Bible (AMP) 12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name I am an heir of God since I am a child of God. Galatians 4:6-7The Message (MSG) 4-7 But when the time arrived that was set by God the Father, God sent his Son, born among us of a woman, born under the conditions of the law so that he might redeem those of us who have been kidnapped by the law. Thus we have been set free to experience our rightful heritage. You can tell for sure that you are now fully adopted as his own children because God sent the Spirit of his Son into our lives crying out, Papa! Father! Doesn t that privilege of intimate conversation with God make it plain that you are not a slave, but a child? And if you are a child, you re also an heir, with complete access to the inheritance. I am Christ s friend John 15:15The Message (MSG) I ve told you these things for a purpose: that my joy might be your joy, and your joy wholly mature. This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. You are my friends when you do the things I command you. No, I ve named you friends because I ve let you in on everything I ve heard from the Father. I am a joint heir with Christ, sharing His inheritance with Him Romans 8:17Living Bible (TLB) 17 And since we are his children, we will share his treasures for all God gives to his Son Jesus is now ours too. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. I may approach God with boldness, freedom, and confidence. Ephesians 3:12Living Bible (TLB) 12 Now we can come fearlessly right into God s presence, assured of his glad welcome when we come with Christ and trust in him. I am bought with a price; I am not my own; I belong to God. 1 Corinthians 7:23 New International Version (NIV) You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings. I am chosen by God, holy and dearly loved. Colossians 3:12-14The Message (MSG) So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, 1

2 content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing. Ephesians 1:3Living Bible (TLB) 3 How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every blessing in heaven because we belong to Christ. I have been given exceedingly great and precious promises by God by which I am a partaker of God s divine nature. 2 Peter 1:4The Message (MSG) 3-4 Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received! We were also given absolutely terrific promises to pass on to you your tickets to participation in the life of God after you turned your back on a world corrupted by lust. I am loved. 1 John 4:10The Message (MSG) This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they ve done to our relationship with God. I have life. 1 John 5:12Amplified Bible (AMP) 12 He who has the Son [by accepting Him as Lord and Savior] has the life [that is eternal]; he who does not have the Son of God [by personal faith] does not have the life. I am victorious through Jesus Christ 1 Corinthians 15:57Living Bible (TLB) 57 How we thank God for all of this! It is he who makes us victorious through Jesus Christ our Lord! I have been established, anointed and sealed by God in Christ, and I have been given to the Holy Spirit as a pledge guaranteeing my inheritance to come. 2 Corinthians 1:21Living Bible (TLB) 21 It is this God who has made you and me into faithful Christians and commissioned us apostles to preach the Good News. Ephesians 1:13-14The Message (MSG) It s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy 2

3 Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what s coming, a reminder that we ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life. Christ Himself is in me. Colossians 1:27Living Bible (TLB) He has kept this secret for centuries and generations past, but now at last it has pleased him to tell it to those who love him and live for him, and the riches and glory of his plan are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ in your hearts is your only hope of glory. Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. 1 John 4:4Living Bible (TLB) 4 Dear young friends, you belong to God and have already won your fight with those who are against Christ because there is someone in your hearts who is stronger than any evil teacher in this wicked world. I am given strength in exchange for weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:10Living Bible (TLB) 10 Since I know it is all for Christ s good, I am quite happy about the thorn, and about insults and hardships, persecutions and difficulties; for when I am weak, then I am strong the less I have, the more I depend on him. I am being changed into the likeness of Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:18The Message (MSG) And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him. I have been given a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7Living Bible (TLB) 7 For the Holy Spirit, God s gift, does not want you to be afraid of people, but to be wise and strong, and to love them and enjoy being with them. I have been justified completely forgiven and made righteous. Romans 5:1-2The Message (MSG) 1-2 By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us set us right with him, make us fit for him we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand out in the wide open spaces of God s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise. 4 12 I am writing these things to all of you, my little children, because your sins have been forgiven in the name of Jesus our Savior. I am free forever from condemnation Romans 8:1-2The Message (MSG) With the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, that fateful dilemma is resolved. Those who enter into Christ s being-here-for-us no longer have to live under a continuous, low-lying black cloud. A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death. I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins. The debt against me has been cancelled. Colossians 1:13-14Amplified Bible (AMP) 13 For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption [because of His sacrifice, resulting in] the forgiveness of our sins [and the cancellation of sins penalty]. I am blameless and free from accusation. Colossians 1:22New International Version (NIV) 22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation I am more than a conqueror through Christ, who loves me. Romans 8:37-39The Message (MSG) So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us who was raised to life for us! is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I m absolutely convinced that nothing nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable absolutely nothing can get between us and God s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. I have been given grace in Christ Jesus 1 Corinthians 1:4King James Version (KJV) 4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ. 4

5 I have been given peace John 14:27Amplified Bible (AMP) 27 Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.] I have the right to come boldly before the throne of God to find mercy and grace in a time of need. Hebrews 4:16Living Bible (TLB) 16 So let us come boldly to the very throne of God and stay there to receive his mercy and to find grace to help us in our times of need. I have received the Spirit of God into my life that I might know the things freely given to me by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12-13The Message (MSG) The Spirit, not content to flit around on the surface, dives into the depths of God, and brings out what God planned all along. Whoever knows what you re thinking and planning except you yourself? The same with God except that he not only knows what he s thinking, but he lets us in on it. God offers a full report on the gifts of life and salvation that he is giving us. We don t have to rely on the world s guesses and opinions. We didn t learn this by reading books or going to school; we learned it from God, who taught us person-to-person through Jesus, and we re passing it on to you in the same firsthand, personal way. I have been given the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16The Message (MSG) The unspiritual self, just as it is by nature, can t receive the gifts of God s Spirit. There s no capacity for them. They seem like so much silliness. Spirit can be known only by spirit God s Spirit and our spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God s Spirit is doing, and can t be judged by unspiritual critics. Isaiah s question, Is there anyone around who knows God s Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing? has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ s Spirit. I am a temple a dwelling place of God. His Spirit and His life dwell in me. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17The Message (MSG) You realize, don t you, that you are the temple of God, and God himself is present in you? No one will get by with vandalizing God s temple, you can be sure of that. God s temple is sacred and you, remember, are the temple. 1 Corinthians 6:19New International Version (NIV) 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. I have no lack, for my God supplies all of my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 5

6 Philippians 4:19Living Bible (TLB) 19 And it is he who will supply all your needs from his riches in glory because of what Christ Jesus has done for us. I am called. 1 Corinthians 7:17New International Version (NIV) 17 Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches. I am a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17Living Bible (TLB) 17 When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun! I am God s workmanship His handiwork born anew in Christ to do His work.
