We remember not only those in the armed forces, but also the countless millions of civilian women, men and children who have been killed, or suffered physical, mental and spiritual wounds from the horrors of war. We also remember the devastation that war causes to our world and the many creatures and plants that struggle to survive in war-ravaged land, sea and sky. Today we remember and repent. We pray that all people on earth will learn to live peacefully together and to use our knowledge to save life and not destroy it. Amen.

To mark the 100 th year Anniversary of the end of World War 1, the church bell will be rung 100 times at Sunset. We are seeking volunteers to assist us with the ringing of the bell. There will be a sign up sheet posted in the Fellowship Hall. Please add your name and state how many times you can ring the bell. Be at the church no later than 4:45 pm. Refreshments and fellowship time to follow. Thank you. Wed. Nov. 14 noon. U.C.W. business meeting with Judy Culp & Annie Mitchell are hosting. Bring your lunch for noon. The Sunday School is in immediate need of more Sunday School teachers. For a commitment of only once a month or once every other month you can enrich our children s life s at our church. Helping Hands, volunteers needed for occasional assistance to Seniors to change a light bulb, fix the toaster so call the office to volunteer. Coffee Hour Update. Volunteers are needed to sign up for after church social time to prepare coffee, tea and juice. No food is necessary, however, special occasion refreshments are welcome. Please check your calendars and pick a Sunday that you would be able to be the Greeter at the door. This is a small task but one that is much appreciated. The new list for September through to the end of the year is posted on the bulletin board. Thank you.
