Don (see main body of pas soma for details) Baby Shower there will be a walk-in baby shower here at the church This Sunday, February 8, from 2-4 p.m. for Grace Elizabeth, daughter of Trent and Marissa Yoder. You may come anytime during those two hours and enjoy food and fellowship with Marissa and Grace and drop off your gift. Marissa is registered at Babies R Us and Target. Suggested sizes for clothes would be 3-6 months or larger. Friends of the Homeless of Tuscarawas County WCMC AREA 17 teens are getting involved with the Friends of the Homeless shelter in New Philadelphia. AREA 17 will be collecting items for the shelter during the month of February. A list of items is included in this week s pas soma news on page 4. Please bring smaller items to the church fellowship hall and place on table designated. If you have larger items to donate and need pick up for these items, please call Heidi Starner at Any questions can be directed to Lindsay Violet at or Andi Starner at Family Fellowship SS Class Winter Banquet will be Feb. 6 p.m. in the Keim Lumber conference room. Full meal will be served and there will be entertainment. Cost is $15/person. There is a sign-up sheet in the SS classroom or call/text Ruth by next Sunday, Feb. 8, to reserve your spot. Passion of Christ on Good Friday, WCMC will be portraying the Passion, the events experienced by Christ on His journey from Pilate s court to His crucifixion and the tomb. Participants, dressed in character, will not need to memorize anything or even say anything. They will simply stand motionless as each event is read by a narrator. We also need people to assist with props, costumes, set design, and lighting. If you are willing to be a part of this powerful portrayal, please contact Pastor Don or Sheri Hummel (sherihummel07@gmail.com). First rehearsal will be Sunday, February 15 th at 4 p.m. at the church.

Torri is registered at WalMart and the Baby Depot inside Burlington Coat Factory. There will be a diaper raffle (bring a pack of diapers to be entered to win a prize). Fundraiser Breakfast WCMC youth group will be serving a pancake/sausage breakfast on Sunday morning, Feb. 22 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. here in the fellowship hall. Donations will go toward AREA 17 teens going to the Dare 2 Share conference coming up in March. Mennonite Women will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 17 to quilt and knot comforters. Devotions by Pauline Miller. Hostess is Alice Horrisberger. Everyone bring a dish to share. Project is bars of ivory soap for MCC. Collecting for MCC Mennonite Women s project for the month of February is collecting bars of Ivory soap for MCC. They are asking the church s participation with this collection. Place bars of soap in the box behind the mailboxes. The last day for collection is March 1. February Souper Thursday collection is peanut butter and jelly (it was incorrectly listed last week). Place on table in the foyer. February Souper Thursday is the 26 th. Thank you for your generous contribution that has allowed for me to focus on my studies. The support given to me each year for pursuing a Mennonite education is greatly appreciated. Many Thanks! In your church mailbox last Sunday there were 2 brochures from Love INC. One provides an opportunity to volunteer your time and talents in many different ways. The second simply gives detailed information regarding Love INC s office hours and how volunteers have already been busy volunteering in the community. Love INC has also been made aware of the following needs in the community: Double or queen size bed for a husband/wife who are currently sleeping on an air mattress and someone to drive a gentleman from his home in Lakeville to the Salvation Army in Millersburg on a Monday or Wednesday morning to seek financial support from the Salvation Army for an electric bill. Shoes for Souls Ministry shoe distribution day, this Sunday, Feb. 8, from 1-4 p.m. at Faith Bible Church 7384 County Road 623 Millersburg. Faith Bible Church hosts a Shoes for Souls Ministry and has a collection of nice shoes in a variety of sizes. They would love to bless families with this gift. Anyone who is in need of shoes is welcome to stop by the church on Feb. 8 to receive shoes. If this date doesn t work or if you have further questions, call Toby at Faith Bible Church Shoes for Souls is a Love Inc. Gap Ministry. Share Your Care when was the last time someone really listened to you? We re talking about that undistracted, full-attention kind of listening. That s one of the ways Stephen Ministers care for others. We need (more) Stephen Ministers to care for those who are making that long journey through the valley of a life crisis.
