1 Living by Every Word of God Sometimes we ve thought, Well, I've heard that before, (referring to something preached). But how many times have we eaten the same foods over and over again? We ate these foods because we enjoyed them, or because we thought we needed to get the nutritional value of certain foods that we thought our body needed. With God's Word, there are no new scriptures. God s already said what we need, and He gave us His Word. It may be new to us, but it's not new to God! There's nothing new to Him. What we need to do is get in the Word all the time. I know it's a lot of work, but nevertheless, all of us, as believers, need to maintain our spiritual life. The scripture says in 1 Timothy 4: 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. Just like you can exercise and develop physically, you can exercise spiritually and develop spiritually by: 1. Holding fast to your confession of faith, 2. Praising God and thanking God, 3. Letting your requests be made known to God. Once you've prayed the prayer of faith, or given the faith decree, just begin to thank the Lord that you believe it's done, in Jesus' Name. Believe that you ve got it, in the Name of Jesus and that you believe God heard you when you prayed, and it's over with, in Jesus' Name. (...Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always... John 11:41,42) A Miracle from Faith in God s Word

2 Before I went into the ministry, I had a guy working for me when I did floor covering. One time, he ended up installing some vinyl flooring in a new home, and the vinyl had a 9-inch flaw in it, and this flaw was 48 feet in length. As the installation company, I was responsible for the goods, because the installer had installed a visible flaw. I didn't have any money because I had given my payroll to help a certain ministry a few days before, and now I had this huge problem! When I came in and saw the flaw, I just read Mark 11:23 to the floor: (For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith). I also read Malachi 3:10-12: (Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts). I read these scriptures to the floor in front of this guy who installed it he was looking at me like I was nuts -- as if the Bible had gone to my head. Nevertheless, I did it. Early the next morning, my phone rang, and the first thought that came to me was, Now that's the contractor, and he found that flaw and you're in trouble! I just rebuked that thought. I said, In Jesus' Name, I rebuke that. And Satan, if you want to know about that floor, you go talk to the Lord. I've turned it over to the Lord. I ve cast all my cares upon Him. 1 Peter 5:7 says Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. And I've turned it over on the Lord in Jesus' Name. I'm a child of God, and I'm a tither, and I believe the devourer is rebuked for my sake. (That phone call turned out to be a wrong number.)

3 After I prayed, I never mentioned the word, flaw again. The thoughts kept coming to me about the flaw, and I just kept casting down imaginations ( (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:4,5) and I just kept saying, I believe it's taken care of, in Jesus' Name, or words to that effect. Finally, about two weeks went by, and we were back in that same area doing more new homes. We were looking for the tile cutter, and come to find out, we had left it down at that house that had the flaw. I told the guy that I was working with, I'll go down and get it. He wanted to go with me, because he wanted to see the floor. So we went over to the house -- he got there before I did and crawled the whole 48-foot length of that vinyl flooring, and the flaw was gone! God had miraculously removed it! I never remember telling anybody about that miracle, but that dear person did. He went out and told other contractors what God had done to the floor. I suppose if I would have told them, they d have thought I was some religious fanatic, and they wouldn't have believed me anyway. But the guy that told the story wasn't even saved, and he went out and told other people. I d have contractors come up to me in places, like if I'd be in a convenience store, they'd stand next to me reverently. One contractor said, I want you to know I heard what He (pointing up to God ) did to the floor, and I believe God can do those things, or words to that effect. The miraculous power of God was able to change that flooring. I wasn't a preacher -- I was just a floor covering mechanic... But I needed God's help. We, as children of God, get in trouble. Sometimes, we get in trouble because we did wrong, or we got into trouble because we did what God wanted us to do, and the devil came and stirred up persecution and brought tests and trials

4 against us. Or, trouble comes we don't know why, but it comes just because of Satan, who comes to steal, kill, and destroy (The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly John 10:10). Keeping Your Heart Filled with God s Word Nevertheless, the Bible is not going to do any of us any good unless we get the Word of God inside our heart, and build our spirit up with God's Word. How's that going to happen? By taking the time to meditate upon the Word day and night, and by getting the Word of God inside our spirit man. Jesus said,...out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh (Matthew 12:34). What is in us in abundance will come out of our mouth. If fear, worry and worldly things are in there, that is what we're going to talk about. If we've got God's Word abiding inside of our heart, that's what will come out of our mouth. This is why we need to make sure that every day of our life, we start the day out in God's Word. How are we going to do that? Well, you can read the Bible to yourself out loud. When you read the Bible, realize that this is God speaking to you. In my meetings, I'll lead a confession and say, Say this with me: the Bible is God's Word. And the people will say, The Bible is God's Word. I ll continue the confession with the congregation following after me, I am what God's Word says I am. I can do what God's Word says I can do, and I have what God's Word says I have.

5 Until you can get to the place that you believe the Bible is God's written Word, you ll have a difficult time receiving from God, or even believing in God. It's in God s Word where He reveals to us Who He is, what He has done, what He will do, what He can do, and what He has already done for us. How are we going to know that? 1. By going to the Word, and building ourselves up in God's Word. 2. By meditating on God's promises and working the Word so we get it built up inside of us that we automatically go to the Word when problems arise. That night when the guy had already laid that vinyl flooring, my mind went blank. Here's this huge problem! And I just went outside, I brought my Bible in, and I read scriptures to the floor. I was just reacting. But thank God, I was reacting on the Word. That miracle with the vinyl didn't happen because I was super Christian, and it didn't happen because I was super religious, or super spiritual. It s like Peter said in Acts 3:12 & 16: And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. The only reason this miracle happened was because I was listening to the Word of God, and listening to faith building tapes.
