Come with joy as you actively trust in Christ and willingly forsake sin, having sought reconciliation in all relationships.

4 Corporate prayer of confession Leader: Heavenly Father, you instruct us in your Word to trust in the Lord with all our hearts, and lean not on our own understanding. You tell us not to be wise in our own eyes, but rather, to fear the Lord and shun evil. (Proverbs 3:5, 7) All: We confess that we are half-hearted in our trust and often lean more on our own understanding than yours. We act as though we are wiser than you and are prone to indulge in evil rather than shun it. Leader: You tell us in your word that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.... For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 1:7; 2:6) All: We confess that rather than pursuing the gift of your pure wisdom, we are often content to settle for mere earthly wisdom. While working on staff, Robbie received his M.A. in Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary. Lydia worked full time at the church until the birth of their first child in 2008, and then continued serving as a volunteer. In 2013 the Lord called the Sweets to serve in St. Andrews, Scotland as part of MTW s Next ministry. Next exists to equip the global church to engage the emerging generation with the Gospel. The Sweets focus their efforts on serving with a local evangelical church plant, encouraging and preparing European leaders for next generation ministry. They also pursue ministry opportunities with missionary kids serving throughout Europe. Please pray for the Sweets and their vision of reaching the next generation for Christ. The Sweets will be speaking at evening prayer tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel. Please join us to hear an update on their work in Scotland ELDERS MEET TO PRAY in Pastor Novenson s office at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday morning. If you would like them to pray for you and your specific needs, they welcome you to join them. CHILDREN ARE WELCOME to participate in all worship services, no matter the age of the child.
