Values and truths that line up with the Kingdom of heaven We are citizens of Heaven Philippians 3: For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. NKJV o His work prepared beforehand o We are ambassadors of the future time travelers o Proclaiming and Demonstrating the future Glory No Slide: Ephesians 1:14 (Holy Spirit of promise) 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. NKJV Core Values for Supernatural living 1. God always causes things to work out for good 2. God loved us before we loved Him and we never have to earn that love. We should learn to focus on His love not our lack. As we receive His love we should give it away to every person we meet. 3. Fear is no part of Gods love. We must learn to respond to the attacks of the enemy not react. Our resources are unlimited. 1 John 4:18 NKJV 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear. 4. 3 5. We are a special, holy people. Gods prized possession. 1 Peter 2: But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. NKJV o This causes us to live with a sense of Honor and expectancy for ourselves and others o Called out of darkness o Darkness can only exist where light ceases to o Light bulb Edison didn t invent it Humphrey Davy almost 70 years earlier Edison changed the internal filament material and internal pressure Allowed it to burn for more than a few inconsistent and uncontrollable moments o Must have a sense of destiny o Must have a sense of honor o Must have a holy expectancy o Allow the trials in life to strengthen your internal pressure o Shine with consistency and power Page 3 of 9

4 6. We are meant to overpower and overcome anything that is evil against us. Romans 8:37 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. NKJV 7. The Devil is evil and behind all the bad stuff in the world. God is always good and does great things. We are called to partner with Him to destroy the works of the Devil. We are not to judge people but bring them to the justice that Jesus purchased. 1 John 3:8b 8 For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. NKJV John 10:10 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 5 8. We were born to rule through the power of the Kingdom. Realizing the dominions and kingdoms of this world are to become the kingdoms of our God. First through intercession and secondly through His return and rule. Daniel 7:27 27 Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.' NKJV o The kingdoms of this world are becoming the kingdoms of our God o We are Ambassadors establishing the rules and regulations of the Kingdom of heaven 9. We are Gods friends and He tells us His secrets. He wants to have and intimate relationship way beyond rules and regulations. John 15:15 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. NKJV o We are co-laboring with Christ o Establishing the mystery and power of the Kingdom o God hides things for us not from us Proverbs 25:2 Next page: Page 5 of 9

6 Ephesians 3:3-4 3 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), NKJV 10. Signs and wonders follow ALL believers. We should consider ourselves carriers of the power of God. NKJV o This is not only for a select few o It is for ALL who believe 11. We have inherited Gods divine nature which grows in us through the gifts of the Spirit. It is not something we strive for but that He works in us through relationship. Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 2 Peter 1:4 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 7 The Supernatural Life is powered by God s Super Natural Spiritual Gifts Joel 2:23-24 NKJV 23 Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you The former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. 24 The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. o God is faithful o The former and the later rain o The harvest is great Matthew 9:37 1 Corinthians 12:4 4 Now there are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but it is the same Holy Spirit who is the source of them all. NLT o Word of wisdom o Word of knowledge o Gift of faith o Gift of healings o Working of miracles o Gift of prophecy o Discerning of spirits o Different kinds of tongues o Interpretation of tongues 1 Corinthians 12:11 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 8 Word of Wisdom -- A Word refers to "a supernaturally imparted fragment," Wisdom from God Word of Knowledge -- A supernaturally inspired utterance of facts. Faith -- A supernatural impartation of assurance in God. Gifts of Healings -- Supernaturally ministering health to the sick. Working of Miracles -- A supernatural intervention of natural laws. The Greek describes it as "works of power" and implies instantaneous results. Prophecy -- A supernaturally inspired utterance from God. A genuine prophetic utterance never contradicts; neither is equal to, the written Word of God. Prophecies are to be judged (1 Cor. 14:29, 1 Thess. 5:20-21). Discerning of Spirits -- This is a supernatural ability to discern a person's spiritual character and the source of his actions and messages, such as from the Holy Spirit, demon spirits, the human spirit or from the flesh. Different Kinds of Tongues -- A supernaturally imparted utterance in an unlearned language. Public and Private Interpretation of Tongues -- This is the supernatural interpretation of a message in tongues into the understandable language of the hearers. It is not a "translation" but an interpretation. Page 8 of 9

9 Romans 12:4-5 4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. NKJV o Not one of us can do the job alone o We need each other o God needs you to be you o Don t try to be someone else o The Body of Christ needs you! Romans 12:6-8 NKJV 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. o Develop the gift in you Helps, Admin. 1 Corinthians 12:28 o Get involved in ministry or small group o If you re called to lead help us lead o Reach out to others Romans 12: Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil.
