1 BABYLON'S RIGHT HAND (The Rise of United States for the Papacy and the New World Order) SEARCH AND SHARE MINISTRY Overview: In Numbers 22, King Balak of the Moabites sent messengers to prophet Balaam to persuade him to curse Israel. Balaam was offered of a special position of honor, wealth and favor. He refused the invitations because God refused to give him permission to go with them and curse Israel. But Balaam was tempted to covet the offers. He rode on his donkey and went with the leaders of Moab. While on the way, an angel stood before them and the donkey tried to avoid the angel. This happened three times, and three times Balaam had smitten the donkey and he threatened to kill the beast till he saw the angel ready to slay him. Balaam became the apostate prophet, the representation of the Christianity being lured by the offer of power, honor and wealth in exchange of removing the freedom of religion in theunited States of America. And, the donkey is the United States of America, the nation which by her constitution provides protection to God s church, to different religions and cause them to flourish without persecution. But because of apostasy of the Protestant churches this country will be beaten by the churches she tries to protect. In the fulfillment of the prophecy, the United States of America, is the nation that rose from the New World and became the most powerful nation of the world. It was founded on Christian like principles but later on it will enforce worship to the first beast, the composite beast. And, it will make and command the world to make an image of the beast to worship it and the beast. Theme: CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY OF TRUE WORSHIP. Issue: Exalting man s law in place of God s law--a contempt to the position of Christ, the law of God. The final test of man s loyalty and love. I. THE SECOND BEAST (REV. 13:11-18) (THE BEAST FROM THE NEW WORLD) DESCRIPTION: Lamb-like horned beast --Christian like power ORIGIN: Rose from the earth--rose from the new world AUTHORITY: The dragon and the authority of the first beast--the religio-political power TIME/ERA: After 1260 years to the end of time. ACTIVITIES: Assumes the power of the composite beast Miracles, causes the whole world to worship the beast, makes an image to the beast, will command the whole world to do the same thing, to enforce the mark of the beast.

2 ELEMENTS: Rev. 13:11 The beast that rose from the earth, the former beasts rose from the sea. The earth--the unpopulated earth, the New World. The beast after Papal supremacy. FULFILLMENT: The United States of America: GC440 "But the beast with lamblike horns was seen "coming up out of the earth." Instead of overthrowing other powers to establish itself, the nation thus represented must arise in territory preciously unoccupied and grow up gradually and peacefully. It could not, then, arise among the crowded and struggling nationalities of the Old World--that turbulent sea of "peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." It must be sought in the Western Continent." "What nation of the New World was in 1798 rising into power, giving promise of strength and greatness, and attracting the attention of the world? The application of the symbol admits of no question. One nation, and only one, meets the specifications of this prophecy; it points unmistakably to the United States of America." II. THE BEAST'S LAMB-LIKE HORNS Dan. 7:24; Rev. 17:12 Horns--kingdoms, divisions of a kingdom, power and authority. Note: United States of America experienced civil war, it was divided by the northern states and the southern states, the Union versus the Confederates. Rev. 13:11,8; 1Pet. 1:19 Lamb-like horns--christian-like powers. Republicanism and Protestantism. GC441 ""And he had two horns like a lamb." The lamblike horns indicate youth, innocence, and gentleness, fitly representing the character of the United States when presented to the prophet as "coming up" in Among the Christian exiles who first fled to America and sought an asylum from royal oppression and priestly intolerance were many who determined to establish a government upon the broad foundation of civil and religious liberty. Their views found place in the Declaration of Independence, which sets forth the great truth that "all men are created equal" and endowed with the inalienable right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." And the Constitution guarantees to the people the right of self-government, providing that representatives elected by the popular vote shall enact and administer the laws. Freedom of religious faith was also granted, every man being permitted to worship God according to the dictates of his conscience. Republicanism and Protestantism became the fundamental principles of the nation. These principles are the secret of its power and prosperity. The oppressed and downtrodden throughout Christendom have turned to this land with interest and hope. Millions have sought its shores, and the United States has risen to a place among the most powerful nations of the earth." II. THE BEAST THAT WILL EXERCISE THE AUTHORITY OF THE FIRST BEAST, THE PAPACY

3 Rev. 13:11 She speaks like a dragon, she becomes the promoter of blasphemy, which was done by the Roman empire. Note: The dragon--satan, speaks lies: John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (Gen. 3:1-7; Rev. 12: 9,15,16 The nation will exert her power to propagate lies, the false doctrines that infiltrated and polluted the Christendom). Rev. 13:12 She will exercise the authority of the first beast in behalf of it. The Great Prophecies of Daniel and the Revelation123 "This second beast which arises out of the earth will complete the Satanic trinity of error (Apostate Protestantism, Roman Catholicism, and Spiritualism). It is the most deceptive in appearance. No one is afraid of a lamb. It is gentle, innocent and harmless." III. THE BEAST THAT WILL ENFORCE WORSHIP TO THE FIRST BEAST AND WILL MAKE ITS IMAGE Rev. 13:1-10 The Papacy rose into political power when the church in Rome compromised the truth and lost the power of the gospel and sought Rome s political power in its place. The Papacy is the result of the union of the Church and State. The church caused the state to enforced her dogmas. Rev. 13:12 GC.442 The United States will enforce the dogmas of the church. "And the statement that the beast with two horns "causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast" indicates that the authority of this nation is to be exercised in enforcing some observance which shall be an act of homage to the papacy." Rev. 13:13,14 She will perform signs and wonders to deceive the earth that they might worship the beast. GC553 "No mere impostures are here foretold. Men are deceived by the miracles which Satan's agents have power to do, not which they pretend to do." GC612 "Servants of God, with their faces lighted up and shining with holy consecration, will hasten from place to place to proclaim the message from heaven. By thousands of voices, all over the earth, the warning will be given. Miracles will be wrought, the sick will be healed, and signs and wonders will follow the believers. Satan also works, with lying wonders, even bringing down fire from heaven in the sight of men. Revelation 13:13. Thus the inhabitants of the earth will be brought to take their stand." Rev. 13:14 She will tell the nations of the whole world make an image of the beast, the union of church and state to enforce her dogmas.

4 GC443,444 "When the early church became corrupted by departing from the simplicity of the gospel and accepting heathen rites and customs, she lost the Spirit and power of God; and in order to control the consciences of the people, she sought the support of the secular power. The result was the papacy, a church that controlled the power of the state and employed it to further her own ends, especially for the punishment of "heresy." In order for the United States to form an image of the beast, the religious power must so control the civil government that the authority of the state will also be employed by the church to accomplish her own ends." "Whenever the church has obtained secular power, she has employed it to punish dissent from her doctrines. Protestant churches that have followed in the steps of Rome by forming alliance with worldly powers have manifested a similar desire to restrict liberty of conscience. An example of this is given in the long-continued persecution of dissenters by the Church of England. During the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, thousands of nonconformist ministers were forced to flee from their churches, and many, both of pastors and people, were subjected to fine, imprisonment, torture, and martyrdom. It was apostasy that led the early church to seek the aid of the civil government, and this prepared the way for the development of the papacy--the beast. Said Paul: "There" shall "come a falling away,... and that man of sin be revealed." 2 Thessalonians 2:3. So apostasy in the church will prepare the way for the image to the beast." IV. THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE CHURCH DOGMA--THE LOST OF RELIGIOUS LIBERTY There are Roman Catholic movements in the United States that want to change the Charter. Jan Marcussen, The National Sunday Law p. 51, 52 (Catholic Twin Circle, August 25, 1985, Art. "Sacking Sunday") "The National Catholic journal, Catholic Twin Circle, said "All Americans would do well to petition the president and the congress to make a Federal law-an amendment to the constitution if need be to re-establish the sabbath (meaning Sunday) as a national Day of Rest." Even at the Door 30, 31 "Benette (Jesuit trained) declared, "What we need now is the political equivalent to the council of Trent." As you recall, the Council of Trent was called by the Catholic Church in order to assess the damage caused by the Protestant Reformation and to plan the strategy to deal with Protestantism. He went on to state that, "Religion is a domain we ignore at our peril." There are Protestant movements pursuing the same course: "With such statements in mind such as "We will be in power before the end of this decade." "We need to influence legislation in this country," and "Our cause transcends denominational divisions..." "Pat Robertson, president of the Christian Coalition, one of the U.S. political parties who hoped to dominate the politics before year 2000." GC573 "In the movements now in progress in the United States to secure for the

5 institutions and usages of the church the support of the state, Protestants are following in the steps of papists. Nay, more, they are opening the door for the papacy to regain in Protestant America the supremacy which she has lost in the Old World. And that which gives greater significance to this movement is the fact that the principal object contemplated is the enforcement of Sunday observance--a custom which originated with Rome, and which she claims as the sign of her authority. It is the spirit of the papacy--the spirit of conformity to worldly customs, the veneration for human traditions above the commandments of God--that is permeating the Protestant churches and leading them on to do the same work of Sunday exaltation which the papacy has done before them." GC581 "Let the principle once be established in the United States that the church may employ or control the power of the state; that religious observances may be enforced by secular laws; in short, that the authority of church and state is to dominate the conscience, and the triumph of Rome in this country is assured." "God's word has given warning of the impending danger; let this be unheeded, and the Protestant world will learn what the purposes of Rome really are, only when it is too late to escape the snare. She is silently growing into power. Her doctrines are exerting their influence in legislative halls, in the churches, and in the hearts of men. She is piling up her lofty and massive structures in the secret recesses of which her former persecutions will be repeated. Stealthily and unsuspectedly she is strengthening her forces to further her own ends when the time shall come for her to strike. All that she desires is vantage ground, and this is already being given her. We shall soon see and shall feel what the purpose of the Roman element is. Whoever shall believe and obey the word of God will thereby incur reproach and persecution." V. THE UNION OF PROTESTANT CHURCHES, THE KEY TO GAIN CONTROL OF THE STATE Dan. 2:43 The iron mixes with clay symbolizes the union of politics and religions, the union of Romanism and apostate Christianity. (Iron--Rome, baked clay--apostate Christianity): Note: Protestantism and Republicanism will emerge fully as the ruling party in this country. Though it is the key of prosperity of this nation, but when these two principles become the agent to enforce religious laws, the result is the image of Romanism that will plunge the nation into a greater crisis. GC444,445 "The wide diversity of belief in the Protestant churches is regarded by many as decisive proof that no effort to secure a forced uniformity can ever be made. But there has been for years, in churches of the Protestant faith, a strong and growing sentiment in favor of a union based upon common points of doctrine. To secure such a union, the discussion of subjects upon which all were not agreed--however important they might be from a Bible standpoint--must necessarily be waived." "When the leading churches of the United States, uniting upon such points of doctrine as

6 are held by them in common, shall influence the state to enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon dissenters will inevitably result." VI. SUNDAY, THE POINT OF UNITY, THE SIGN OF WORSHIP TO THE PAPACY Protestants rejection to the true Sabbath, as they held Sunday worship and rest in common. They will enforce it through the power of the state. Sunday keeping, the homage to the Church of Rome: Monsignor Louis Segur, Plain Talk about Protestantism Today, p. 213 "The observance of Sunday by the Protestants is an homage they pay to the authority of the Catholic Church." Sunday keeping, a Catholic Principle: Catholic Press, August, 1900 "Sunday is a Catholic institution, and its claim to observance can be defended only on Catholic principles... From the beginning to end of Scripture there is no single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first." GC448,449 'The enforcement of Sunday keeping on the part of Protestant churches is an enforcement of the worship of the papacy--of the beast. Those who, understanding the claims of the fourth commandment, choose to observe the false instead of the true Sabbath are thereby paying homage to that power by which alone it is commanded. But in the very act of enforcing a religious duty by secular power, the churches would themselves form an image to the beast; hence the enforcement of Sunday keeping in the United States would be an enforcement of the worship of the beast and his image." VII. ENFORCING SUNDAY OBSERVANCE, THE MARK OF THE BEAST Rev. 13:15 The United States will have the power to unite church and state from his country to the whole world. The whole world will follow her example. Rev. 13:16 The United States will enforce a mark to the whole world. H. F. Thomas, Chancellor of cardinal Gibbons, in an answer to a letter regarding the change of the Sabbath. "Of course the Catholic Church claims the change was her act... and the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things." GC449 "But when Sunday observance shall be enforced by law, and the world shall be enlightened concerning the obligation of the true Sabbath, then whoever shall transgress the command of God, to obey a precept which has no higher authority than that of Rome, will thereby honor popery above God. He is paying homage to Rome and to the power which enforces the institution ordained by Rome. He is worshipping the beast and his

As men then reject the institution which God has declared to be the sign of His authority, and honor in its stead that which Rome has chosen as the token of her supremacy, they will thereby accept the sign of allegiance to Rome--"the mark of the beast." And it is not until the issue is thus plainly set before the people, and they are brought to choose between the commandments of God and the commandments of men, that those who continue in transgression will receive "the mark of the beast."" VIII. ECONOMY, THE CHOPPING BOARD TO ENFORCE THE MARK Rev. 13:16,17 Every people will be given a mark. No mark no eat! No mark no business! The mark in the hand, the symbol of forced obedience. They will obey the beast because their deeds are align with the works of the world which is idolatry, the cause of receiving the mark I their right hand. The mark in forehead, the symbol of willful obedience to Sunday law. Their minds has the mind of Rome, the worldly mind which causes them to receive the mark of idolatry. The stomach and pocket are the ways to gain allegiance to Rome. Good News: God has a people who will not receive the mark of the beast in their right hand or in their forehead. God has a place for His people to fill in this world, to reflect light. You are God's sentinels. Christ says of His people, "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid" (Matthew 5:14).... God made His law for all the universe. He created man, He gives the bounteous provisions of nature, holds our breath and life in His hand. He is to be recognized, His law honored, before all the great men and the highest earthly powers.--review and Herald, April 15, {TDG 114.5} IX. THE NUMBER 666: THE NUMBER OF SELF EXALTATION Rev. 13:17,18 The name of the beast, the number of his name. The number of a man = 666. Marvin Maxwell, God Cares, Vol. 2, 413,414 "This number is a 'human number' (RSV)...focus inward on himself, on his doing thing..." Note: The number 666 is the symbol of man's venture of coveting the position of the Son of God. Joseph F. Berg, The Great Apostasy, 156,158 "Now we challenge the world to find in these languages: GREEK, HEBREW, and LATIN (see John 19:20), which shall designate the same number." Warning and entreaties: This is our work. The light that we have upon the third angel s message is the true

8 light. The mark of the beast is exactly what it has been proclaimed to be. All in regard to this matter is not yet understood, and will not be understood until the unrolling of the scroll, but a most solemn work is to be accomplished in our world. The Lord s command to His servants is Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. {CTr 350.4} What are you doing, brethren, in the great work of preparation? Those who are uniting with the world, are receiving the worldly mold, and preparing for the mark of the beast. Those who are distrustful of self, who are humbling themselves before God and purifying their souls by obeying the truth,--these are receiving the heavenly mold, and preparing for the seal of God in their foreheads. When the decree goes forth, and the stamp is impressed, their character will remain pure and spotless for eternity. {CET 191.1} With rapid steps we are approaching this period. When Protestant churches shall unite with the secular power to sustain a false religion, for opposing which their ancestors endured the fiercest persecution, then will the papal sabbath be enforced by the combined authority of church and state. There will be a national apostasy, which will end only in national ruin. --Manuscript 51, {Ev 235.1}. REFLECTION The world is leading to the greatest event where men will put into the final test, the test of loyalty and love; to find out who really is their Lord, man or God. The great controversy between the law of God and the law of man represents the controversy of which is the true way to worship God; through Christ--represented by God s law --Sabbath, or through Satan or self which is represented by the man-made law--sunday. If anyone will choose the law of man, it represents a claim of Satan that angels or man or the creatures has the right to claim the prerogative of Christ. Sunday observance represents the one who enforces it. It represents the worship of the man, the pope, who represents the system of creatures worship, the system of self worshipers which represent Satan, the father of creature worship. But if they choose the law of God, the seventh-day Sabbath, they had chosen the true God, they honor the distinction between the Creator and the creature, they respect and honor the place of Christ in God s throne Note: A. The Rise of Papacy inside Christianity Prophesied: 1. Acts 20:28-30 The great leader of the apostasy in the church will come from the bishops of the church. The bishop of Rome promoted the union of the church and state and the Christianity with Paganism Thes. 2:4 He is in the temple or inside the Christian society and will proclaim himself as equal with God or with Christ.

9 3. 1Tim. 4:1-4 The system that arises from Christianity will heed to spiritualism and to false doctrines, they will not permit their leaders to marry, and on some occasion will abstain from food John 2:18-19 The anti-christ will stand in the last days who came out of true Christianity John 4:1-3 Hebrews 2:14,17; 7:26 The anti-christ denies that Christ came like us as Children of Adam. B. Worship to fellow Creatures is anti-christian. 1. Acts 10:25,26 Peter never accept worship. The Popes do. 2. Rev. 19:10 The angel did not accept worship. 3. Matt. 23:9 Christ warned against those who made their leaders as spiritual Fathers. The pope (father) claims it. The system of papacy is the system of paganism that takes the distinction between the Creator and the creature. They claim that the creatures has the prerogative of Christ, who is equal with God. It is observable in their system that any of them could be appointed in the position equal with God, one best example is the assumption of Mary. Roman Catholicism is the most attractive religion in the world because its teachings lies on the carnal desire of the human heart, the desire of self-exaltation, the desire of power and honor, and the desire of divining, which they are subtly encourage and advocated and deceives the world. Beware of this system.
