We are Christ s people and this is Christ s place with its doors open wide. We are grateful for your presence and invite you to return often. Announcements The flowers within the chancel are given to the glory of God in honor of Beverly Butler by Janet, Will, & Eric Wertz for Beverly s birthday and in memory of Donald J. Roman, who passed June 27, by Doris Roman. Chancel Choir will resume their weekly rehearsals Wednesday, August 15 at 6:45 p.m. The 8:30 SonRise choir does not meet for rehearsals. You may join them on Sunday morning for a quick practice before the service starts. All are welcome. If you have questions about the Chancel Choir or SonRise Choir, please contact Catherine Nance in the church office. The United Methodist Men will meet in Ward Hall on July 26 at 6:30pm. 3 A concert by The Raleigh Ringers will take place Sunday, August 5 at 3:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This group is an interna onally acclaimed, advanced handbell choir based in Raleigh, NC. Since their founding in 1990, the choir has been performing concerts for audiences all over the States, as well as Canada and France. Their set list includes unique interpreta ons of sacred, secular and popular music. The concert is free and a love offering will be collected. RPSEC Ruth Patrick Science Educa on Center On Thursday, August 9, the Children s Ministry will meet at the Ruth Patrick Science Educa on Center (USCA) at 9 a.m. to par cipate in their Discovery Summer Program. Ages 4 6 Ages 7 & up Roly Poly Palooza AND Animal Adventures Catapult Crea ons AND The Mad Scien st Cost is $7/child and a parent is expected to stay with the child throughout the adventure.
