We appeal for more flower donations for the upcoming holidays, especially Christmas which is around the corner. APPRECIATION Many thanks to Lynne Conway for serving as Wedding Coordinator for the past 3 years. All our Weddings ran smoothly due to her exceptional organization and dedication. Thanks to her helpers as well who stepped and helped when they were most needed. Our parish was blessed with many weddings this year. Many thanks to all who attended and participated in any way in this year s Life Chain this past weekend in Cortland. It was a great success. Special thanks to organizers of this worthy event. It will be celebrated on Saturday, November 3rd, at 10:00am in the church followed by a light reception afterward. If you would like to submit the name of a family member who died out of town this past year, call the parish office. Retrouvaille a lifeline for married couples Are you hurting in your marriage? If your marriage has become troubled or stressed, unloving, or uncaring; if your relationship has grown cold and distant; if you are thinking of separation or divorce, or if you want to try again, then the Retrouvaille Program can help you. For more information call or visit Once again our parish, with the help of teen Confirmation Candidates and youth groups, will partner with Cross Catholic Outreach to host the Box of Joy Program which helps provide needed items and toys to needy children around the world. Our campaign begins next weekend, October 20 th and 21 st. Last year we collected 175 filled shoeboxes and we hope to beat that number this year. Beginning next weekend, we are asking parishioners to stop by the designated table in the vestibule, pick up a shoebox and fill it with the needed items listed on the sheet inside the box. Please be sure to read the entire list as there are some items that cannot be accepted. Please return the shoeboxes to the parish by the weekend of November 3rd and 4th. AROUND THE AREA/DIOCESE 40 Days for Life Candlelight Rally is planned at the vigil site across the street from Planned Parenthood on Tuesday, October 16, 6-7pm.
