Mothers Day Donations For The Mothers Home In Darby Bring Your Donations on May 8th You may honor the Infant Jesus with your gift of love for the precious babies. A basket at Sacred Heart Church and St. Hedwig s Chapel is for donations of NEW baby items to the Mother s Home. Size 1 to 12months, such as sleepers, shirts, cloth diapers, socks, sweaters, and receiving blankets. DO NOT GIFT WRAP, just put your item in a clear plastic bag. Cash donations are also welcome. Your donations will be taken directly to the Mothers Home in Darby following the collection. Sacred Heart Parish Triduum Please Mark Your Calendar Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 2, 3 (8AM), 4 (10AM). A special Healing Mass will be held on Saturday, June 4th at 10:00AM. 3 Gospel Summary While Jesus was with his disciples at the Last Supper, he pointed toward his future glory following his death and resurrection where he would be reunited with his Father in heaven. He also gave the disciples a command: to love one another. But the disciples didn t have to figure out how to do this on their own. Jesus told them to love one another in the same way he had loved them. Reflection for Families Jesus wanted the disciples to love one another and all followers with a binding love. It is this same kind of love that binds families together. When other people turn their backs and walk away, it is symbolic of Jesus love that families are bound by a love incomparable anywhere else in our own experience. We fail at times, but rarely in any other setting do we see anything close to the unconditional love God has for us, as we see in the love parents show their children. Bringing the Gospel into Your Family Find someone in your neighborhood, school, place of work, or within your family who sometimes feels left out. Reach out to that person with the kind of love Jesus describes in this Gospel. Make them feel welcome and know they are a child of God. Perhaps you will send them a greeting card, say a special prayer for them, visit them, or invite them to your home. When your action is complete, share with one another where you saw Jesus in the experience you had with the person. The Novena consists of nine Masses which are offered for the person of your intention whether living or deceased. Majowka/May Prayers This devotion is held every Wednesday during May at 7PM in the Grotto. In case of inclement weather, it will be held in the Chapel. Devotion includes a rosary, prayers, and hymns (30 minute service). Please join us! Polish Constitution Day Commemorative Ceremony on Sunday, May 1 with Mass at 12:30PM at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown. A 2:30PM program and youth performance in the Shrine Visitors Center. Free admission Memorial Day Mass The 82nd Annual Memorial Day Mass will take place at St. Hedwig s Chapel on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 9:15AM. After Mass those interested are invited to attend a grave side service at IHM Cemetery in Linwood.
