We invite you to actively participate with us as we praise GOD. We are pleased that you chose to worship with us this morning. Join us each Sunday and find strength in our harmonious fellowship. Our Worship Service begins at 10:30 a.m. during the summer and 11:00 a.m. at all other times. May GOD continue to bless and keep you. The Prayer of the Black Messiah Almighty God, Who called together the Black Nation Israel through Thy son, the revolutionary Black Messiah, Jesus, hallowed be Thy name. May Thy Black Nation speedily come and Thy will be done on earth as we accept commitment to daily sacrifice and struggle. Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive Black brothers and sisters who trespass against us. Help us to resist temptation, as we struggle against individualism, and may the Black Nation stand, as a living witness to Thy Power and Thy Glory, forever and ever. Amen The Shrines of the Black Madonna are open to all who seek to cooperate with God in the movement toward peace, justice and liberation. I resolve to practice radical transformative hospitality to those God draws to our fellowship. 2. I resolve to passionately worship God who is the source and substance of my existence and the nourishment of my soul. 3. I resolve to pursue faith development through the disciplines, sacraments and practices of the church to realize my highest potential and prove myself worthy of my inner divinity. 4. 4 Response: Response: Response: Responsive Meditation (We Seek the Experience of God) KUTAFUTA means that we have entered the sacred circle and we seek the experience God. We open ourselves to receive the power of God. KUTAMUNGU means that we can come upon God, here where we are. If we seek, we will find. When we are open, our inner divinity can be touched by the cosmic power of God and KUGASANA will come like a mystical explosion. The overwhelming power of God enters into us. The Creative Intelligence of God directs us, we become one with God and with our people everywhere. When our inner divinity comes into contact with the higher power out of which it was created, we are born again in the fullness of life. My Sermon Notes Sermon Topic: Scripture Lesson: Response: The sacred triangles, the mystical sacraments, and the disciplines of the Transforming Community open us to receive the power of God. In our surrender to God, KUJITOA, we have new strength for our earthly battles. 5 From the Desk of Bishop Jabari Osaze, Chief Operating Officer Very Important Information To Department heads, group leaders, team leaders, committee heads and ministry chairpersons: As you know, the Shrine in Detroit and Atlanta are web streaming. We will rotate the streaming on a monthly basis for now. Atlanta will stream for the month of November and Detroit for December. Reminder: Any presentation given on a Sunday that we are streaming, which includes playing recorded songs not sung by our own choir, cannot be played, so that we can be in compliance with copyright laws. On Saturday, October 29 th, a community service event that grew out of a tragedy, took place in two locations. The accident that claimed the life of Malcolm Omari Hill has been transformed into a vehicle to save the lives of others. (See the following for filming of the event from the Shrine) 20 students at the class held at the Shrine. Most of the students were from Washington High School. The class was facilitated by a certified instructor from the AARP. The AARP instructor (Mr. Bobby Jones) was a senior citizen who expressed his joy in finding that he could relate to the young people after mostly facilitating this class for seniors There were 20 students at the second class held at the Five Star Insurance Agency in Lithonia. Those students were from Lithonia and Stone Mountain High Schools. The outcome was positive as many of the students said they thought it would be boring, but found the information to be very helpful. Their classroom participation with the instructor was very good.
