Divine Mercy Sunday Each year on the Sunday following Easter, we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday. This devotion stems from the revelations of Jesus to a young Polish nun early in the 20th century, St. Maria Faustina Kowalska. In the words of Fr. George Kosicki, CSB, of Divine Mercy International: "Two words sum up the message- trust and mercy. God is mercy itself, and He pleads with us to turn to that mercy and receive it.that's His Part. Our part is to receive it mainly by trust - abandonment to Him". Please plan to join our celebration of Divine Mercy on TODAY, Sunday April 23,at 3:00pm here at St. Mary's church - and begin to feel the great love and compassion God has for us. We will end the time with Benediction. Divine Mercy prayers are also recited every Monday after the 8:am Mass and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Parishioners' intentions that are left in the basket are prayed for during this time. The Fund is in existence for 28 years and has collected over one million dollars in donations which have been used to assist more than fifty families with children who are affected with catastrophic illness in Denville and surrounding areas. The Tricky Tray is on Sunday, July 2 under the tent at Gardner Field, in Denville. Doors open at 6pm and calling begins at 8pm. $15 per person includes one sheet of tickets and light refreshments.
