3 Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time 26 June 2016 COLLABORATIVE NEWS IN APPRECIATION Mrs. Kelly Graeber, who has faithfully served St. Mary Parish as a cantor and choir director has decided to resign her position at the end of June. Kelly has truly been a blessing to our parish. Her magnificent voice and love of sacred music have served only to enhance our liturgical celebrations. May God continue to bless Kelly and her family. ADORATION AT ST. ANN There will be no Adoration this Thursday, June 30 th at Saint Ann PASTORAL PLAN NEWS Our pastoral plan was submitted to Cardinal Seán on June 1 st. As soon as we receive news of its approval, we will make arrangements for it to be published this summer. We will introduce the plan at all Masses at all three collaborative parishes during the weekend of Sept. 10/11. A collaborative meeting to begin implementation of the plan will be held on Monday evening, Sept. 12 th. We thank the pastoral plan Writing Committee for their dedication and hard work during this year and a half process of discernment, writing and revision. CHILDREN S CHOIR FEST X! Our 10 th Choir Fest is coming August 1-5 at Sacred Heart for kids in grades 3-8 as of Sept Choir Fest is a week-long program of fun, singing and learning about our Catholic worship through times of prayer, activities, games, crafts and videos. Our week ends with a musical open to the entire collaborative, followed by a sundae party. The program will be held on the grounds at Sacred Heart, centered in the parish hall, parking lot and playground. The cost is $100 per child, $25 deposit due with registration. Registration fee includes: binder, pencils, pens, crayons, etc; handouts, workbooks, music; craft materials; hot lunch & 2 snacks each day. Registration now is open! forms are on our website at qcc14.org/choirfest ALTAR SERVER/CHILDREN S CHOIR DAY AT CANOBIE LAKE Our annual day for altar servers and children s choir members at Canobie Lake Park is tomorrow, Monday, June 27 th. Permission forms and info. are available in the sacristy after Mass today for those who have registered. BINGO Bingo is held every Tuesday night at Saint Mary Church hall at 6:45pm. Come and try your luck while supporting St. Mary Parish at the same time! The Bingo phone line is: We are in need of Bingo volunteers to work one, two or more hours. We also need volunteers to help sell hotdogs. If you can lend a hand to help continue making our Bingo a success, please call Fr. Lou. THE 6PM SUNDAY MASS AT SACRED HEART will continue through the summer months. SECOND COLLECTION THIS WEEK This weekend our archdiocese will take up the Peter s Pence Collection, which provides Pope Francis with the funds needed to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Join our Holy Father as a witness of charity to those who are suffering. TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS Fr. Jason will celebrate a Traditional Latin Mass using the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite this Friday, July 1 st at 7pm in the chapel at Sacred Heart. It will celebrate the Feast of the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ. All are welcome! HOLY HOUR Our next monthly Collaborative Holy Hour will take place as usual on the first Wednesday of the month (July 6 th ) from 7 to 8pm at Saint Mary Church. We begin with Exposition and close with Benediction. Confessions will be available throughout the Holy Hour. The Rosary is offered at 7pm and the Divine Mercy Chaplet is offered at 7:30pm. All are invited and encouraged to attend this solemn Holy Hour each month. OUR NEXT MONTHLY DINNER Our next monthly dinner will be on SATURDAY, July 30 th at 5:30pm in the cafeteria at Sacred Heart. Our July theme is Americana Dinner, and will feature homemade chicken pot pie, mashed potatoes, salad, biscuits, and star-spangled shortcake. Our usual 50/50 raffle also will take place. The cost is $10 per person, or $25 per family with children 12 years and younger. Reservations are needed and may be made by calling the office at Sacred Heart by Wednesday, July 27 th. QUINCY CATHOLIC ACADEMY Summer Program at QCA Registration is open to all children (Preschool to Grade 5). This program runs eight weeks and includes assorted educational classes, exciting physical activities, and time for outdoor/indoor fun free play. A lot can accommodate two remains. If interested please contact Dave Pekkinen, cemetery superintendent, at the parish office at VOCATION CRUCIFIX The Vocation Crucifix ministry consists of individuals or couples taking the crucifix home for one week and praying daily for 10 minutes for an increase of vocation to the priesthood. The crucifix is picked up and dropped off at Sacred Heart rectory. If you are interested in this vocation please call Louise Doherty at Later this summer, the vocation crucifix program will be expanded directly within St. Mary and St. Ann Parishes.

4 PROJECT RACHEL During this Holy Year of Mercy, Project Rachel extends a special invitation to women suffering from the pain of abortion to experience God s mercy. SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic organization whose primary mission is to assist those in need. Founded by St. Vincent de Paul, the society seeks to live out the Church s corporal works of mercy. In order to participate in a tangible way, donation envelopes to support the work of the Society are at the doors of the church. Please help support the Society on a regular basis. MEN S SCRIPTURE DISCUSSION The Men s Scripture Discussion Group meets every Saturday morning from 8 to 9am in St. Ann lower church hall. Parishioners are invited to submit topics and questions they wish to explore and discuss. Topics can include any teachings or subjects concerning the Catholic Faith. Once questions are received, a course calendar will be published regarding topics to be addressed. Topics to be discussed will be printed in the bulletin prior to the course meeting.
