In this socially and politically charged Easter Season, we are using our Sunday morning Adult Education hour to practice these skills. Members of the congregation are being invited to bring us pieces of writing (a poem, an article, a short essay, or an excerpt from a novel) by authors of an ethnicity or gender or religion or cultural perspective different from their own. We ll read these pieces aloud, and then be guided in conversation about them. Join us in the Brown Library at 9:00 a.m. All are welcome. Thanks to Our Prayer Partners! This year, 16 parishioners volunteered to serve as prayer partners for our college students. Throughout the school year, these faithful members of our congregation prayed for our students; many of them also exchanged cards, s, and small gifts. This new program was deeply appreciated by our college students and their parents. Education for Ministry Is it your time to discover where your faith meets the needs of your church, your community and the world? (...and would you like a guaranteed night out once a week????) Education for Ministry invites you to bring forth your unique gifts for a personal ministry as they are uncovered for you in the study of the Old Testament, New Testament, Church History (at least the first 3,000 years!) and foundational principles of theology and philosophy. Through these lenses, EfM guides its learners toward claiming and developing their ministry gifts for themselves, their family and their community. One current learner says, "...Reading history of the Christian Church in year 3 is mind-blowing, aggravating and enlightening. One wonders how the faith moved through the centuries!..." another says..."a chance to engage my often neglected intellect..." Saint Mark s has offered EfM for nearly 3 decades. The 4 year program is renewable each year and we meet 2 hours on Monday nights for about nine months of the year. Feel free to contact either of our co-mentors or any current learner. An invitation to sign up for food donations has been sent through Signup Genius to 9:00 a.m. families. Help making sandwiches, assembling and delivering lunches after the 9 a.m. service on May 29 is greatly appreciated! Saint Mark's Buy-In Party Opportunities The Spring Auction was a huge success, raising more than $40,000 for our church and school. Thank you to all who were able to make it and who helped. We still have a few Buy-In parties with room in them so we are opening them up to the whole community. You will find a list of the parties still available. Please pay attention to whether or not it is for an individual reservation or a family reservation (for example, if you and your husband would like to attend the Pinball game night then you need to buy two spaces). If you sign up for any of the amazing experiences please bring a check to the church office made out to

We closed up the book fair after a fun-filled 3 days of watching kids, parents, grandparents and church members find the perfect books to read in the coming months.
