This obligation prohibits the eating of meat, but not eggs, milk products, or condiments of any kind, even though made from animal fat. Fasting means limiting oneself to one full meal on a given fast day. Catholics who are eighteen years of age but not yet fifty-nine are obliged to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. On fast days, two additional smaller meals are permitted if necessary to maintain strength. However, the two smaller meals together may not equal one full meal. Moreover, eating solid foods between meals on fast days is not permitted. Remember Saturday confessions are from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. and are located in the new Reconciliation Room in the back of the Chapel.

This collection supports six Catholic agencies that touch more than 100 million lives around the world. 6 WHO WE ARE We are a new community of young adults who desire to make service part of our DNA. Through unique service opportunities at Catholic Charities and our parishes, we put our compassion into action. WHEN WE MEET We meet monthly on a Saturday. Meetings alternate between 5:00 p.m. Mass followed by fellowship and an afternoon service project. In 2016 Compass will host the Mercy Madness Challenge which will include a series of six projects centered around the Works of Mercy. JOIN US All are welcome. We are looking for individuals who have a desire to support one another through faith, friendship and philanthropy. For whom much is given, much is expected. Runnin Revs Fun Night All are invited to the Runnin Revs vs. All Stars basketball game played at Bishop Miege High School on Monday, March 7 th at 7:00 pm. The Revs are priests and seminarians who will take on 8 th grade and high school youth from our Catholic schools in this exciting game of basketball. Bring family and friends to enjoy the fun which benefits our seminarians. There will be a short live auction which includes a spot in this summer s Camp Tekakwitha. The 20 th Annual Joint Diocesan Mass for the Anointing of the Sick will be held Saturday, March 5 th, at 10:00 am at Curè of Ars Catholic Church. Archbishop Joseph Naumann will be the principal celebrant with Bishop James Johnston as homilist. All are invited to the Mass, anointing, and blessing of the sick as it is done in Lourdes, France. After Mass we will drive to the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic and pray the rosary. Pro-life signs and banners will also be provided to anyone wishing to participate in that portion of sidewalk witness. All activities conclude at 10:00 am.
