2 Page Two Fifth Sunday of Lent Church of St. Anne FAITH FORMATION-ORGANIZATIONS MINISTRIES-PRAYER GROUPS Faith Formation ~ Grades 1, 2 & 3: Students attend class every Sunday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. according to a previously mailed schedule. Faith Formation ~ Grades 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8: Students attend class on biweekly Mondays from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. according to a previously mailed schedule. Baptism Preparation Class (Pre-Jordan): Parents and sponsors are required to participate before the day of Baptism. Class is held on a Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. To register for an upcoming class, call the Office of Faith Formation, * * * * * * * * * * New Society: Members meet Tuesdays at 12:00 noon for afternoon fellowship, unless otherwise planned. CHURCH TOURS HOLY FAMILY CHURCH, 1200 Ligonier Street, Latrobe, 15650, is offering guided tours of their newly restored Church from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on the following Saturdays: April 7 and May 12. The Church will be decorated for Easter in April. Reservations are not required. Each tour is approximately 45 minutes. Group tours of any size may also be scheduled on weekdays and some Saturdays. Groups of 15 or more may make arrangements to purchase a homemade lunch which will be served in Holy Family social hall at a cost of $8.00 per person. TENEBRAE SERVICES - Church of St. John the Baptist, 3332 Pittsburgh Road, Perryopolis, will be held next Sunday, March 25, Palm Sunday, at 7:30 p.m. - Holy Family Church, 225 North Second Street, West Newton, will be held on Good Friday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. Tenebrae commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ our Light, and through prayer, meditation, the reading of Scripture and music, we recall Christ s passion and death. And we received word that LOUIS RENDULIC, who was from Virginia, also passed to the Lord last week. We remember the departed and their families in our prayers and ask God to give them comfort. ST. 5 **Diocesan and Community Events** COME TO THE ROSTRAVER PUBLIC LIBRARY FUNDRAISER Purse Bingo TODAY, Sunday, March 18, at 2:00 p.m. here in our Social Hall. Doors open at 1:00 p.m. The price is $30/ticket at the door and includes 20 games and a dauber. Available for purchase are early birds and specials, food, beverages and tip boards. Everyone is welcome. THE 13TH EGG EGGSTRAVAGANZA will be held TODAY, Sunday, March 18, from Noon until 5:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 201 East Main Street, Uniontown, Egg artists will be displaying, demonstrating and selling their unique style of decorated eggs. Sales tables with be available with supplies, kits and books for decorating eggs, hands-on opportunity to try out pysanky decorating, videos on pysanky decorating and a children s corner featuring Easter related projects, puzzles and much more. A bake sale will also be held, and a Lenten lunch menu will be served. Admission is free.
