The purpose of our congregation is to worship God, who gives life through Word and Sacrament; to serve one another in love and fellowship; and to proclaim forgiveness and salvation to all through Jesus Christ alone. Before Worship As you prepare to worship your Lord today, spend a few quiet minutes in prayer before the service. Review the lessons, the service notes, and pray this prayer: Prayer of the Day O God, You rule over all things in wisdom and kindness. Take away everything that may be harmful and give us whatever is good; through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. For the Children A Cry-Room is available if your little ones need a moment. It is the first room on the left as you walk into the church building. Visitors need not feel obligated to participate in this offering which supports our ministry. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 11 Annual Voters Meeting is Sunday, June 28, after the worship service. Voters please plan on attending. Church budget, election of church officers and membership ratification are some of the items to be discussed. LUTHER 498 Church Picnic! - Peace and Mount Olive are starting a new tradition, this upcoming Tuesday, June 9 th at Alexander Park (right behind Bethany Lutheran), as we hold our 1 st annual Reformation Picnic! Starting at 6 P.M. all will be invited to join us in an evening filled with fun, fellowship, family and frankfurters! There will be games for kids, music entertainment (provided by Quadra Media Creations), and most importantly The first annual Rivalry Softball game between Peace and Mt. Olive- where the winner will take home the CONCORD CUP as well as a year s worth of bragging rights! Admission is FREE, we just ask that you bring a non-perishable food item, as we will be donating to the ECHO food shelf! So bring some friends, and join us Tuesday night, as we kick off the summer with an awesome night of fun and fellowship! Feel free to contact Katie Ruiz with any questions! (507) VBS is almost here!!!! June 17-19, from 9am-2pm, Camp Discovery VBS is here at Peace. We have 83 campers and 23 helpers signed up! It will be a fantastic camp experience with lively songs, tasty snacks, super crafts, exciting games, and the most important part GOD S LIVING WORD. Please pray for the program and all involved as we near the final stages of planning! FAMILY COOKOUT/CAMPOUT - VBS FINALE: Friday night, June 19 th Come back for a bonfire, s mores, and campout?!?! 5:30 Cook-out! Bring your hotdogs/brats, buns and a dish to pass. Lemonade, water, condiments, and s more fixings provided. (throw in extra chairs, blankets, bug spray, and roasting sticks) 6:30 Sing around the campfire VBS kids will start off the singing Optional family campout following campfire fellowship ITEMS NEEDED ON LOAN: We need your small to medium artificial Christmas trees. Clearly label your tree (and your box) and put it in the cry room. We also need hammers - clearly labeled. We will give these items back after VBS week. If you are able to loan either a tree or hammer, please let Denice know or dwoller@blc.edu. They don t need to be at church until June 15. DONATIONS NEEDED: We need your old neckties and buttons for a craft project. So clean out your closets and put those old neckties to a good cause! Please bring any donations to the church office as soon as possible. (These will not be returned) Thank you! Those who signed up to donate snacks for VBS, you will be contacted this week on what to bring. Thank you for your generosity! 11

Their next game will be a double-header tomorrow at Jaycee Park, Mankato, on field 7:15pm and 8:15pm. Their record is 2-4. There are copies of this season s softball schedule on the bulletin board if you would like to have one. Please come, cheer on our team, and enjoy the wonderful fellowship! The Moms On a Mission (M.O.M.s) group has set up park playdates on Wednesday mornings for the summer months. All are welcome (even dads)!!! Join us Wednesdays, starting June 3, from 9-11:30am, bring a picnic lunch if you like. Come and go as you please. We will be rotating a different park each month. June is Alexander Park, July is Sibley Park, and August is Spring Lake Park. There a few field trip playdates, too. Wednesday, July 15, we will play at Treemendous Park in St. Peter, and Wednesday, August 5, we will have some beach fun at Hinniker Pond in North Mankato. If weather is rainy, playdate is cancelled.
