3 The refrain of the Responsorial Psalm of Easter Sunday proclaims: This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad. The Gospel is indeed good news. We Christians are called to rejoice and be glad. Let us sing Alleluia with our lips and with our lives. Alleluia, Alleluia. We had a wonderful Lenten season. So many parishioners of all ages participated in a Lenten retreat. Hundreds celebrated with contrite hearts the Sacrament of Reconciliation. I saw so much love and devotion in the Easter Triduum. The Lord is comforted with our presence and humility in this sacred time of our liturgical calendar. We are now in the midst of the Novena of Divine Mercy. Our devout participation is converting sinners, renewing our culture, keeping the faith strong in our families and leading souls in purgatory to the fullness of the Beatific Vision. Let us all be aware of the indulgences and blessings the Lord promises. Let us return to our first love of the Lord and wrap up the Bishop s Ministry Appeal. The Lord loves a cheerful giver, says St. Paul. It is equal sacrifice, not equal amount that we propose. The Lord, Bishop Myron Cotta, the BMA team and I count on each one of you, including young adults. He is Risen. He is not here! This proclamation resounds through all generations to the ends of the universe. He is Risen Indeed. Happy Easter.
