Children are welcome to go to Sunday School or the nursery downstairs or join us in church. We have a table with quiet activities near the front of the nave for busy hands. Please come up the center aisle to the altar rail and return by the side aisle. Please let an usher know if you need communion brought to your seat. Hold out your hand to receive the bread and then eat. Guide the chalice to your mouth and drink. (Please do not dip the bread in the wine.) If you need a gluten-free host, simply raise an index finger for the priest to see and one will be provided. To receive a blessing instead of communion, simply cross your arms over your chest. 5 Announcements From Fr. John: Adult Formation classes return next Sunday morning at 9:00 in the St. John Room. We will be looking at the Gospel according to St. John, the last of the Gospels captured in writing, often considered the most mystical of the four. We will meet for the second class on the morning of the 11 th and for a final class on the morning of the 18 th. Fr. John Fergueson will continue his series of sessions on spiritual aspects of Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome next Tuesday. Any number and types of traumas can lead to PTSD and, while there is no cure, there are treatments and some of the spiritual approaches that Fr. John works with are among the most helpful in coping with PTSD. He is offering the second of three classes twice on Tuesday, Jan. 30 th at 3:00 and again at 7:00. The third classes will be held Feb. 6 th. Outreach: The food cupboard just inside the office door is well used and appreciated by the folks who drop by for food and a smile. If you would like to make a donation, please check with Christine to see what people are hoping to find. We are also always collecting for our neighbors down the street at Hospitality House. The list of what they need is posted just across the hall from the library and there is a basket in the office for your donations. We are also always collecting new white sweat-socks for the folks at Operation Nightwatch. You can drop them in the canvas bin by the door into the nave or bring them by the office and we will see that they are distributed.
