This year we thought it was important to offer hospitality especially for those who visit us for the first time. Please join us after all Masses on Easter Sunday in Saint Francis Hall for some donuts, coffee and tea. The Appearances of the Risen One Mary Magdalene and the holy women who came to finish anointing the body of Jesus, which had been buried in haste because the Sabbath began on the evening of Good Friday, were the first to encounter the Risen One. 498 Thus the women were the first messengers of Christ's Resurrection for the apostles themselves. 499 They were the next to whom Jesus appears: first Peter, then the Twelve. Since our cathedral and campus are so clean now, please do everything you can to keep it that way. Monthly Grief Support Program A free monthly Grief Support Session is held here at St. Mary s Cathedral on Third Wednesdays. The next session is scheduled for April 18th from 10:30 noon in the Msgr. Bowe Room, on the west side of the parking lot level of the Cathedral. These sessions provide information on the grief process, and tips on coping with the loss of a loved one.
