8 VERSICLES The Lord be with you. And with thy spirit. Let us pray. All shall sit. O Lord, show thy mercy upon us; And grant us thy salvation. O Lord, save the state; And hear us when we call upon thee. Clothe thy ministers with righteousness; And let thy people sing for joy. O Lord, save thy people; And bless thine inheritance. Therefore, with angels and archangels, and with all the company of heaven, we laud and magnify thy glorious name, evermore praising thee, and saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts, Heaven and earth are full of thy glory. Glory be to thee, O Lord, most high. Amen. Blessed is he who cometh in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest. All shall sit. The choir sings the Sanctus.
