PUT ON YOUR CALENDAR Volunteers Needed Saturdays in January 2018 We will be at the new location/new building Chandler Food Pantry, Price Street (across the practice football field, behind the Chandler Water Treatment Plant). Time is 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Not only have you warmed their young hands and heads, but you have warmed many hearts. It is good to be in this house with you. God of every nation and people, from the very beginning of creation you have made manifest your love: when our need for a Savior was great

4 you sent your Son to be born of the Virgin Mary. To our lives he brings joy and peace, justice, mercy, and love. Lord, bless all who look upon this manger; may it remind us of the humble birth of Jesus, and raise our thoughts to him, who is God-with-us and Savior of all, and who lives and reigns forever and ever. R/. Amen. Abuse of Minors Pastoral Response Hotline or The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City through its programs, organizations & events, has numerous daily contacts with many children & young people. It is, therefore, important that all Archdiocesan Personnel, clergy, seminarians, religious, employees & volunteers, protect the rights of children & be alert to the possibility for child abuse. Under Oklahoma State law, all individuals MUST report an incident or suspicion of sexual abuse of a minor (person under 18 years of age) to the civil authorities. The Oklahoma Department of Human Services has established a statewide abuse reporting hotline for reporting: This number is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you feel a child is in immediate danger of harm call 911. For the safety of children & the healing of victims, the Archdiocese of OKC provides an Abuse of Minors Pastoral Response Hotline for reporting the abuse of a minor (in the past our presently) by a member of the clergy or other church personnel: The Archdiocesan Victims Assistance Coordinator, a licensed professional counselor, will respond to calls to the Archdiocesan Pastoral Response Hotline. A report to the Archdiocese does not relieve the individual of the duty to report child abuse to civil authorities as required by Oklahoma State Law. The Oklahoma, failure to report child abuse is a misdemeanor punishable in law.

Rose Day The annual Rose Day Pro-Life Rally, which takes place inside the Oklahoma State Capitol each year, is set for Feb. 7. The day will feature Kay Coles James, founder and president of The Gloucester Institute, an organization which trains and nurtures leaders in the African American community, and the Most Rev. David Konderla, Bishop of Tulsa.
