3 ENTRANCE PROCESSION & SONG JOYFUL, JOYFUL WE ADORE THEE Ludwig van Beethoven Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love; Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee, opening to the sun above. Melt the clouds of sin and sadness; drive the dark of doubt away; Giver of immortal gladness, fill us with the light of day! All Thy works with joy surround Thee, earth and heaven reflect Thy rays, Stars and angels sing around Thee, center of unbroken praise. Field and forest, vale and mountain, flowery meadow, flashing sea, Singing bird and flowing fountain call us to rejoice in Thee. Thou art giving and forgiving, ever blessing, ever blessed, Wellspring of the joy of living, ocean depth of happy rest! Thou our Father, Christ our Brother, all who live in love are Thine; Teach us how to love each other, lift us to the joy divine. Mortals, join the happy chorus, which the morning stars began; Father love is reigning o er us, brother love binds man to man. Ever singing, march we onward, victors in the midst of strife, Joyful music leads us Sunward in the triumph song of life. INTRODUCTIONS: WELCOME: PRESENTATION: Brian F. Morgan Sr. Arlene Antczak, OP Saydi Callahan & Sr. Gerardine Mueller, OP INTRODUCTORY RITES GREETING Priest: In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. R. Amen GLORIA (Spoken) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks, for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world,

4 have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father: have mercy on us. For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen LITURGY OF THE WORD FIRST READING: 11 Corinthians 9:16-19, 22B-27 Michele Ciolino, P 15 Reader: The word of the Lord R: Thanks be to God RESPONSORIAL PSALM: PS 84:3, 4, 5-6, 12 Lesly D Ambola, LS 74 R. How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord, mighty God! (Stand) GOSPEL ACCLAMATION: R: Alleluia (Sung 8x) THE GOSPEL Priest: The Lord be with you. R: And with your spirit. Priest: A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke. R: Glory to you, O Lord. GOSPEL: LUKE 6:39-42 Priest: The Gospel of the Lord. R: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. HOMILY PROFESSION OF FAITH: (Stand) NICENE CREED I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, The Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,

5 begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father and the Son, Who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, Who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen. COMMUNION SONG AMAZING GRACE Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now I see. John Newton T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear. And Grace, my fears relieved. How precious did that Grace appear The hour I first believed. Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come; 'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far and Grace will lead me home. The Lord has promised good to me. His word my hope secures. He will my shield and portion be, As long as life endures. When we've been there ten thousand years Bright shining as the sun. We've no less days to sing God's praise Than when we've first begun.

8 (Stand) PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION Priest: Let us pray. R: Amen CONCLUDING RITES REFLECTION Christine James, 83, 87 (Stand) Priest: The Lord be with you. R: And with your spirit. All: DOMINICAN BLESSING May God the Creator, Bless us. May God, the Redeemer, Heal us. May God the Holy Spirit enlighten us, Give us eyes to see, ears to hear, And hands to do the work of God: Feet to walk the path of justice, And mouths to preach the Good News. May the angel of peace watch over us And lead us to the reign of God. Amen DISMISSAL Priest: Go forth, the mass is ended. R. Thanks be to God. CLOSING SONG HOLY, HOLY, HOLY Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee; Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty! God in three Persons, blessèd Trinity! John B. Dykes Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
