Year 1054 The East West Schism The final separation between the Eastern Christian churches (led by the patriarch of Constantinople, Michael Cerularius) and the Western church (led by Pope Leo IX) happened.

The meeting of Patriarch Kirill and Pope of Rome Francis February 12, 2016 Havana, Cuba. The meeting of the highest level was the first in the history of the Russian Orthodox and Catholic Churches, a number of experts and the media called it historical. Results of the meeting The joint declaration of 30 points was drawn up: "Paragraph We call on the Christians of Western and Eastern Europe to unite for a joint testimony of Christ and the Gospel so that Europe retains its soul formed by the two thousand-year-old Christian tradition."

EUROPE CATHOLICS ORTHODOX

The relics of St. Nicholas in Russia In July 2017, the relics of St. Nicholas were delivered to Russia from the city of Bari (Italy). The relics were kept in the city of Bari for 930 years, never leaving the walls of the local monastery. During the stay in Russia, the shrine was worshiped by about 2.5 million people.

HOLY PLACES OF UNDIVIDED CHRISTIANITY We create the first route and catalog of the most significant sites and places of European Christendom to demonstrate the spiritual and cultural commonality of Orthodox and Catholic countries in Europe.

Kiy Cross of the Patriarch Nikon RUSSIA: one of the main route points. Patriarch Nikon in honor of his salvation during the sea disaster founded Onego (Kiy) Godfather Monastery on the island of Kiy in the White Sea in The most revered relic of the monastery was the "Kiy Cross", made of cypress by Nikon's order. The Cross was to be equal to the size of the Cross of the Crucifixion, and containing 300 different shrines.

Kiy Cross of the Patriarch Nikon. Now Kiy Cross is in the church of St.Sergius of Radonezh in Krapivniky (Moscow). Some of the shrines were lost. The Cross contains 108 relics parts of saints at the moment, There are the relics part of John the Baptist and other relics parts of the undivided church saints, as well as 16 stones from the places of biblical events. Also there is a part of Christ Riza and a particle of the Lifegiving Cross in the center. The Cross is decorated with six small wooden crosses depicting the twelve holidays, brought from Athos in the middle of the XVII century.

RUSSIA: one of the main route points St. Michael's Cathedral in the Pskov-Pechersky Monastery. The cathedral bears the name of the most important archangel - Archangel Michael, worshiped by all Christians. This is a holy place, known far beyond Russia. The main shrine of the temple is the right hand of the holy martyr Tatiana, who lived in Rome in the 3-rd century.

RUSSIA: one of the main route points The holy caves of Pechersky Monastery. Monastic life appeared in the 14th century in this place. The monks lived in caves in those times. The caves have survived until now on the territory of the monastery. The relics of the founders of the monastery - the Monks Vass and Ion - rest at the entrance to the holy caves.

SLOVENIA: one of the main route points St. Mary s Church of the Assumption in Bled According to a legend, the temple of the ancient Slavic goddess Živa once stood in the place of the present Baroque church. On the Bled island, archaeologists have discovered traces of prehistoric (11th to 8th centuries before Christ) and Slavic (9th to 10th century) settlements. In the early Middle Ages a pre- Christian, probably Old Slavic cult area stood at the location of the present day church. The present form of the church dates from the 17th century when it was renovated after another earthquake. On the central altarpiece the Virgin Mary is shown seated, with the donor of the Bled estate, The side altars, consecrated to St. Sebastian, St. Magdalena and St. Anna.

ITALY: one of the main route points St. Martin's Cathedral The main cathedral of Lucca, built in the 12th century in the Romanesque style and was completely redone in the 14th-15th centuries. In the middle of the nave of the cathedral is Tempietto, an octagonal chapel created by the local sculptor Matteo Civitali (1484) for a deeply revered crucifix made of Lebanese cedar with the image of Christ - (Saint Luke of Lucca). It is believed that this crucifixion was carved by Nicodemus, a witness of the crucifixion of Jesus, led by angels. The crucifix was transferred to the city in 782. "Volto Santo di Lucca" - a relic of the city of Lucca, which for centuries defended the city from all misfortunes.

MORE ROUTES EUROPEAN DYNASTIES. The unification of European families into one cultural route will clearly demonstrate the close humanities of the dynasties of the European world, which had a serious impact on international politics and largely determined the oneness and mutual support of the European people. In particular, the connection between the royal family of the Romanovs and the dynasties of Europe will be reflected in our route.
