5 Strengthen and encourage those who seek to serve and protect the last, lost, and the least. Lord in your mercy. Lead us to be generous with our time, talent and treasure. Father, assist us in naming before You this day those in trouble, sickness or need. May Your love and goodness fill their lives. (Pause for a few seconds) Confession and Absolution of Sin All who truly and earnestly repent of your sins, and seek to be reconciled with your neighbors, and intend to lead the new life, following the commandments of God, and walking in his holy ways: draw near with faith and make your humble confession to Almighty God. (Silence) Almighty God, long-suffering and of great goodness: I confess to you, I confess with my whole heart my neglect and forgetfulness of your commandments, my wrong doing, thinking, and speaking; the hurts I have done to others, and the good I have left undone. O God, forgive me, for I have sinned against you; and raise me to newness of life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Father, by means of this holy bread and cup, we celebrate the memorial of your Son, showing forth the sacrifice of his death and proclaiming his resurrection until he comes again. Gather us by this Holy Communion into one Body in your Son Jesus Christ and make us a living sacrifice of praise for you. By him, and with him, and in him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all honor and glory is yours, Almighty Father, now and forever. and AMEN.
