Between lovely tribute to the little town of Bethlehem nd the blessed virgin Mry s mgnificent song of prise, the letter to the Hebrews reminds us in no uncertin terms tht Christ s dvent is for the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for ll. It is the kind of tension in which the church lwys lives s when in the holy communion with high delight we proclim the Lord s deth. Through obedient cceptnce of God s will, Christ llows his own body to become the gretest scrifice of ll, one through which we re mde holy people.
