Marriage Contact the parish six months in anticipation to prepare and determine readiness. Anointing of the Sick is given to those preparing for surgery, the elderly, the ill and the dying. Please ask the priest following mass for an anointing. In the event of an emergency call the office Eucharist Contact the office for a home visit. For First Holy Communion contact Kathy Carr for both children and adults. Reconciliation (Confession) is celebrated on Saturdays from 4:00-4:30pm in the Reconciliation Chapel. 2 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time Page 1 July 24, 2016 FATIMA MARKS 100 YEARS October 13, 2017 marks the 100th anniversary of Mary s appearance to the shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal. I am forming a committee to help our parish rededicate ourselves to the Lord through prayer, adoration, and the celebration of these important events in our faith throughout this next year. If you are interested in helping please me at pastor@olfatima.org. Thank you. Fr. Phil PLEASE NOTE: Work on installing the New Play Structure is scheduled to begin soon. Site preparation, including the installation of security fencing around the play structure, will begin the week of August 1st. Removal of existing pieces, installation of the new equipment and the required safety inspections mean that the play structure will not be available until the end of August. Thank you for your patience and consideration! We would like to make available an automated external defibrillator (AED) unit in our Parish Center in case of an emergency need. If you would like to donate to help us pay for this unit, any amount would be helpful. The cost of the unit is $1,000. To donate, please write AED on a check and place it in the Sunday collection or mail it to the parish at 3307 W Dravus St. An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the life threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia in a patient, and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm. With simple audio and visual commands, AEDs are designed to be simple to use for the layperson. Time commitment is minutes after Mass. You can do one Sunday per month or more if you are so inclined. This is a great way to learn more about our Parish and School and to meet some of our fabulous Parishioners.
