Mr. Richard Kasprzak Monday morning, and I am looking out the window at the nasty weather. Its 80 degrees and sunny, with just a few clouds to cast some shade on to the ground. I suppose I ll have to step outside soon, and get all sweaty again. Seriously, the asthma is getting better, and Liz and I are going to step out for a little bit, and see if the salt air by the ocean will continue to make the breathing easier. It worked last time. And if the barber shop is open, I ll get a haircut. Seriously though, it is simply beautiful here. The Mass at St. Mary went well, and all congratulated me on the homily I delivered. ( I say this in all modesty) This tiny church seats about fifty to sixty, and we had about 40 in attendance. The majority of the congregation lives here full time, with a few snowbirds being seasonal, kind of like us. The organist at St. Mary is something else. She s a tiny little thing. She teaches the organ, has performed with great orchestras here and abroad, taught voice, and in her spare time, was a stunt pilot in propeller airplanes. She had to rush off right after Mass yesterday...as she was playing in a Christmas concert. Thursday afternoon, and we are getting ready to start for home. I have to get this ready and sent out, then I have to finish the homily for Sunday. After Mass, Liz and I shall be leaving St. Augustine, and driving north either on 75 or 95, and I am watching the weather as we want to avoid snow if possible. See you all soon.. 4 A Note From the Pastor! Today we celebrate Gaudete Sunday. The Third Sunday of Advent is the week where we focus on the imminent joy that comes with the expectation of the Birth of Christ. Also, it is the joy associated with the anticipation of Christ s Second Coming. Let us be sure that we are prepared, not only for the celebration of Jesus birthday, but also for when He comes again for we know neither the day nor the hour. Have a blessed week! Fr. K of C Children s Christmas Party Today at 1 PM, the Knights of Columbus will be hosting a children s Christmas party in the hall.
