You completed a new step in your faith journey, and we look forward to having you join us at the table of the Lord each week. Also, congratulations to Sophia Fallone who received First Eucharist at Our Lady of Lourdes with her classmates from Seton Catholic School. Surprise your mom, grandmother or the special woman in your life with beautiful flowers for Mother's Day and help support our Vacation Bible School Program at the same time! ITEM NEEDED! We are collecting one-gallon plastic milk containers with their caps to make an igloo for VBS. Please be sure they are cleaned and rinsed out!! We need over 400 containers to make an igloo! WEDDINGS AT ST. THEODORE S Couples who are contemplating marriage are asked to please contact Deacon Angelo as soon as possible to reserve the church before you sign a contract with a reception hall. Thank you for your support! SAVE THE DATES FR. STEVE S 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION SUNDAY, MAY 17 AT 11:00 MASS SUNDAY, JUNE 14 We will celebrate Fr. Steve s ordination to the priesthood at Mass on May 17 at 11:00 a.m. On Sunday, June 14, there will be a concert in honor of Fr. Steve will be at 3:00 p.m. with a reception following. MASS FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS On Saturday, June 20 at the 4:30 mass we would like to honor the high school seniors from our parish who are graduating from high school. The graduates will receive a special blessing as they prepare to begin a new chapter in their lives. If you have a teen or grandchild who will be graduating this June, please contact Maureen Piehler at or mpiehler@dor.org so we can include them in this special liturgy. HOSPITAL CALLS When you are hospitalized, it is the great desire of our priest and pastoral staff to visit with you when you are in any of our local hospitals. Be aware that due to privacy laws, we cannot access information about your hospitalization unless you indicate St. Theodore s as your faith community on your admissions forms. Better yet, have a family member call the parish office at with the dates of your hospitalization, which hospital you are at and a room number. CONCERT IN HONOR OF FATHER STEVE Our pastor, Father Steve, will be celebrating his 40 th anniversary as a priest this year. Plans are being made to have a concert for him on Sunday, June 14 at 3:00 p.m., followed by a reception in our parish hall. The different musical groups in our parish will be participating, and I was hoping to get a children s choir together for this event. This would be open to students in grades 3 through 8. The music will be recorded on CDs, so that each student can practice on his/her own time; and then we would come together for a couple of rehearsals (day & time TBD). If your child(ren) would like to sing for this fun celebration, please fill out the form below and return it in the Sunday collection or the parish office by May 17. NEEDED ITEM OF THE WEEK Rice-A-Roni RUMMAGE SALE TO BENEFIT NCYC We are ready to start collecting items for our Rummage Sale. If you have items to donate, you can drop them off at church. If you have large items, lots of stuff or need us to pick it up from your house, please contact me to make arrangements so that we can have it put away in a room asap. Otherwise you can drop items off and leave them in the hallway labeled Rummage Sale items. We are NOT collecting: clothing, computers, TVs, or bowling balls. This is why St. Theodore's Church is hosting Life Line Screening, the nation s leading provider of preventive health screenings on Tuesday, May 19, Screenings are fast, painless and affordable. Three key tests check for blocked carotid arteries, an irregular heart rhythm called atrial fibrillation, and high blood pressure, which are the three leading risk factors for stroke. Nearly 800,000 strokes will occur this year, taking a life approximately every four minutes. Screening packages start at $139. Single tests cost around $70. For more information regarding the screenings or to schedule an appointment, call Preregistration is required. BUNCO NIGHT Final call for purchasing tickets for the St. Pius X dinner and game night. This weekend will be your last chance to buy tickets after the Masses; however, you may buy tickets in the parish office through Tuesday afternoon.
