1 Knowledge of Him A devotional journal for your daily walk in Christ Monday through Saturday, it s easy for me to forget about Christ while living out my many and varied roles in life. Even on Sundays, it s hard for me to tune into the sermon when my little kids are escaping from the sanctuary! To curb this falling away, I try to do my personal devotions before bed each night. However, much of the time I forget what I read and what insights I gained before I wake up the next morning. I created this devotional journal with the intention of impressing Christ on my heart and mind during my daily quiet time. This provides me with much needed structure to dig deeper into the Bible and be able to go back and review what I learned during previous devotions. Knowledge of Him is purposefully open-ended and can be used with any type of devotional book, Bible reading plan, or Bible study! This resource also provides me with a space to keep track of the many prayers I need to daily send up to God. I can now focus my prayer life instead of worrying about what I m forgetting to pray for! 2 How to print your Knowledge of Him Half-Page Devotional Journal- There are fifteen 8x11 pages included in this document. Each of these pages is set up to be cut in half and used to create your half page (8.5 x 5.5) double-sided devotional journal. This size fits perfectly in a standard mini-binder. The margins are purposely narrow to accommodate the most writing possible. With this in mind, I suggest hole-punching before using pages so you don t lose any of your writing. You can print and organize these pages in a variety of ways to fit your specific needs. The following steps take you through the printing process for a double-sided 5.5 x 8.5 devotional journal with blank pages for journaling. If you would like to leave out the blank pages, see the note below. Please read through all of the steps before printing! *Before printing, make sure actual size is checked in your printer dialog box. **Duplex printing from your computer will result in upside down pages on some printers due to the landscape format. Please feed the paper manually when printing on the reverse! ***Blank pages are optional. If not using blank pages, simply print your daily devotion, prayers, and worship notes pages double sided with the same front and back. Follow all other printing instructions as written. How to print: 1. Print the Knowledge of Him Title Page (p. 3). This will also print the third page of printing tips which you can discard. **You will not be printing another page on the reverse of this. 2. Print the Getting the Most out of your Devotional Journal page (p. 4) on the back of the Verse page (p. 5). 3. Print the Daily Devotion Title Page (p. 6) on the back of the Daily Devotion pages (p. 8). 4. Print as many Daily Devotion pages (p. 8) as you would like on the back of the Blank pages (p. 15). 5. Print the Worship Notes Title Page (p. 7) on the back of the Worship Notes page (p. 9). 6. Print as many Worship Notes pages (p. 9) as you would like on the back of the Blank pages (p. 15). 7. Print the Prayers Title Page (p. 10) on the back of the Sunday/Monday Prayers pages (p. 11). 8. Print the rest of the Prayers pages (pp ) on the back of Blank pages (p. 15). 9. Optional: Print three Blank pages (p. 13) front and back to use between sections. How to assemble: *Cut all pages in half and hole punch using a hole punch that fits your mini binder. Assemble in the following order. 1. Knowledge of Him Title Page (no backside). 2. Verse & Getting the Most out of your Devotional Journal (2 pages front and back). 3. Daily Devotions Title Page with a Daily Devotion page on the back.

3 4. As many Daily Devotion/Blank pages as you wish. I print one month of daily devotions (30 days) at a time and set up my binder so that when it is opened, the daily devotion pages is on the left and a blank page on the right. Optional: If using journaling pages, at the end of the section, place a double-sided Blank page. 5. Worship Notes Title Page with a Worship Notes page on the back. 6. As many Worship Notes/Blank pages as you wish. *See the assembly note from the Daily Devotions section. 7. Prayers Title Page with Sunday Prayers on the back. 8. Assemble the rest of the daily Prayers as you did the Daily Devotion and Worship Notes sections with the prayer page on the left and a blank page on the right. 4 Finally, keep track of your arrow prayers at the bottom of each page. These are the prayers that are on your heart that day to send up to God. I like to separate them into thanksgiving, confession, and requests. My arrow prayers are usually in addition to the daily prayer section at the back of the book. There is a dotted line on each page so you can cut off your memory work and prayers to carry around with you during the day or tape to a highly visible place in your home or workspace if you would like! Worship Notes: Pages for your use during worship services are included in their own section. If you re not always able to listen to the sermon because of restless little ones or being unable to attend church, ask your pastor for a copy or see if they are recorded each week! Alternatively, you can use these pages to dig deeper into the readings for that Sunday or they can be used to enhance a weekly Bible study you take part in. Getting the most out of your devotional journal- Blank Pages: Blank pages are included for a few reasons: they provide space for journaling about your day, doodling, following up on questions you had from your readings, or a space for your thoughts to overflow. Daily Devotions: These pages are for you to fill out while you dig into your devotions each day. They are undated so that you can write as you have time, and not feel guilty about missing a day. Fill out the top section based on what you learned during your readings that day. Review previous days to refresh your heart and mind. Keep track of questions you might want to follow up on with a friend or pastor. There is also a box for you to put your memory work for the day, week, or month. Choose from the Sunday readings or your daily devotions (or anywhere else!).

Ephesians 1:17-21 Daily Prayers Section: This section provides space for you to bring a little order to your prayer life if you have dozens of prayers swirling through your heart on a daily basis like I do! Keep track of what you re praying for on a long-term basis by writing it down here and noting updates along the way. The daily prayers section is divided into seven categories one to focus on for each day of the week. This is in addition to the arrow prayers space on the devotional pages for prayers that crop up each day. Don t feel constrained by the categories- change or add to them to fit your needs! Most of all, remember that this is your devotional journal! These are tips about how I find Knowledge of Him to be most useful for my own use. Use these pages as they fit your personal needs to learn and grow as you walk daily with Christ.
