Ash Wednesday 2019 We will begin our Lent with Ash Wednesday Service on Wednesday, March 6th. We will have Mass at 8:00 am and 7:00 pm, and the ashes will be distributed at both Masses. Please Note: This is not a Day of Obligation; but it is a DAY OF FASTING and ABSTINENCE. On Ash Wednesday all are supposed to observe Fasting and Abstinence that is, we may eat only one full meal this day, the other meals should be light meals, and no meat of any kind should be eaten! (The sick are exempted) During the Lent: there will be a Holy Hour (Adoration) on all Wednesdays, from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, followed by the Mass at 7:00 pm. There will be Stations of the Cross on Fridays starting at 7:00 pm. Palms If you have any Blessed palms from last Palm Sunday, please bring them to Church or to the Parish Office by next Sunday, March 3rd, so Father can burn them into ashes for Ash Wednesday.
